The promoted warrior did die so I built the 2nd warrior massively delaying my settler. I did get the archery eureka. After done cleaning barbs up and healing, both warriors will head to the barb camps and slinger will escort settler to the 3rd city spot. Now I will actually tech BW to see where the iron is because it might change my 3rd city and because it will not affect the lack of discount for the 3rd campus. On T34: CMF gained 3rd civic. TBS gained 3rd tech. On T35: TBS gained 6 empire points, will find out if its a Larva or city next turn. CMF gained 5th tech. Grot got 3rd civ and built a 2nd district (likely holy site). What a fortuitous find. Settler is sped up 1 turn already and will finish 1 turn sooner when cap grows to 4 and picks up another cog tile. TBS did finish his Larva last turn and has 2 GPP and and 1 GWP/GAP/GMP so he took divine spark, which means that as soon as he finishes his 2nd larva, he will get the 1st GP. Oh well, but I dont feel bad for Grot. My biggest worry is that Grot will take warrior monks with his religion and rush me. Need to tech IW, after building 5 warriors (6 would be better) ASAP. Another barb camp. I decided to attack the barb with the slinger, who will probably attack back, then I will heal with promotion and barb warrior should suicide itself. Alham got his 5th civic and marcopolo got his 4th tech. Now I did see that Alham had built an encampment last turn. Will he really try to race me for the GG by running projects or adopting strategos and crushing his growth? Right now its 18 to 1. I might build a discounted encampment first at 3rd city. Barb threat over for now. Iron is at an awkward location. Sending slinger to scout for 4th city site for iron. Reached a dead end with scout, which also needs to heal. Oral tradition was gone. Look lady of reeds because 3rd city site has big production problems. 2nd worker mined salt for inevitable happy crunch, will farm wheat next and then chop a tree at capital for campus. Capital will put overflow into another worker, then build warrior for chop overflow. After campus done, finish worker, then trader, then settler. 3rd city I think will build a worker 1st. T38: Alham grew 2 pop. Grot got 4th tech. CMF got 4th civic. Marcopolo got 3rd civ. T39: Alham got 6th civic (dont think its PP). CMF got 6th tech. T40: CMF got a pop. Seoul cleaned up the SW camp. Now 3rd settler first in hindsight was a huge mistake. Should have gotten campus 1st once I decided to buy the monument even if it meant chopping a tree on the plain hill and remining the tile. Right now I am spilling way too much culture on not PP. marcopolo rejected my delegation. why. I really need to scout E because he is really tempting for the sword rush. Not only because of ingame position but also because of PYFT problems. The game should give me +10 STR for waging a PYFT crusade. One problem is that my GG will be done a lot sooner than my units. What I can do is is use the GG as a scout for the north then teleport near front lines. But need gold. Didnt occur to me that amsterdam would have a shot at the camp so really need to run over there. Also I just found out that Larva gives +2 GPP without divine spark. Wonder who got that pantheon then. CMF gor 5th civic and pop. TBS got pop. Decided to stick with naming scheme. I really feel like warring. Let's see if I can get to 30+ cities by the end. Grot also settled his 3rd city, which is amazing to me. Maybe he did this with a boosted chop? He also already has a source of horse. I think I will renew the DoF if he asks for it. Now I did save mid-turn because I had to address something in between turn but saving and reloading actually shows the most updated score because before, my score didnt actually account for the new city. I believe now that I will settle the 4th city between iron and rice because what I learned from reading other playthroughs is that harvesting rice/wheat in your new cities is really good. the increased pop means that you are working more production tiles faster and the culture boost is not to be ignored. Also dont have to buy a tile for iron. Retreated the SE warrior after much thought and looks like I am too late for the NE camp. Will need to bring an archer to SE as well. Barbs at NW are doing nothing?! Weird. Bought the encampment tile while it is still cheap. Grot settled 3rd city as mentioned and got another pop. TBS got 5th tech.
