So, onto Cossacks.

We need about 15 more horseman. Chivalry via Monarchy needs to be avoided at all costs for now. 20 Cossacks should do, 5 archers and 5 catapults.

I think that is feasible. We need to ignore 2-3 boosts in a beeline (bombards and knight kill except for a lucky barb kill which is possible, need to plan for that.

Engineering boost is not worth the wait, I need those wall chops, I can not handbuild it before the wall chops. Is there any reason not for a super beeline to Cossacks? I think not.

We will organise those in Army Group North (10 cossacks) for a strike against Cornflakes south north and use Army Group South with artillery support (5 crossbowmen and 5 bombards) in the south. With DotF catapults will do, we need those as a fallback. Swordsman will be used for guard and barb duty.

So the concentration on horseman will prohibit wall super chops (Monarchy) which sucks. We want Merchant Republic for the money and switch to Theocracy shortly before the attack for faith builds. (Note catapults can not be chopped, ergo faith buys via Theocracy).

This will do for now.

So if we can outbuild Cornflakes will we spare him? Why should we. I think if I can outbuild him I do a soft cossack push, but given his savant building I doubt that.

Ah well. So we got 30 turns to prepare. So wallchops into the most important districts, then horseman chops for army and infrastructure. Money saving is a given.

2 crabs are harvestable, 4 copper and 2 crabs reachable via moneyharvest city sites, need to establish those. I think I can reach Cossacks in nearly 30 turns with a bit more science and 2 boosts.

Varchavianka as a staging grounds needs to cut down all jungles.

Only question left is autocracy vs classical republic. Need consription and limes, so Autocracy it is. Although the amneties would be nice. No diplo slot needed atm.

I can ignore the current GG, I need an industrial one.

Sorry for the wall of text. For an eloquent strategy compilation look elsewhere.

Turn 100 is the turn before Feudalism. A lot of builders on 2 turns, 3 turns or more.

Overview and Strategy was already done quite extensively the last few turns. So only a screenie.

Cornflakes has double culture and double science.

With no apparent new campuses I suspect he met a scientific CS, maybe Geneva. Geneva in itself is a crime against humanity. Check PBEM 9 for that.

Damn. Did he explore them all of the sudden? Do I need ships? I do not have the science for a detour.

The short ray of light that I had for this game has been dashed again. I resolve myself to at least braking Cornflakes down in 20 turns with Cossacks.

Bah, this is self pity talking.

I had a rough start but I still managed to not properly manage my economy too much. We will see what we can do about that.

I always avoid zooming out, so I can not see the desert N, SE and W of my starting position, whilst Brazil was smackdab in superlush jungle. Not happy with the map since turn 5.

Anyway, maybe I can rescue my science hole with this GS, thanks for taking the overvalued healing guy.

Turn 107

Faithbuy University, 2 wall chops into districts, 2 more planned out theatres, commercials.

Getting there. 5 builders are already improving yields and infrastructure all around. LONG overdue stuff.

Commercial hubs lost their discount, but I need more. Gold yields are 80 for Brazil, 100 for Rome.

Faithbuy amphitheatre in the capital? It could build it, but we are pressed for time. More wall chops planned. Aqueducts especially.

Yes, we met Rome. DoF and alliance incoming.

Rome is scary, money is milpower, milpower means that Greece is soon gone.

Met Hattusa, Mercs in 1 turn for first envoy bonus. Harbour is the quest, priority now. Cornflakes here I come in Science.:D

Found Hattusa, got 6 envoys in it, coupled with some universities. Well, getting there.

With Natal Cornflakes is nigh on unkillable for me.

I need to think. Maybe raze every single city of Brazil and rebuild it?

Finally progress on the infrastructure front:

3 Wallchops this turn, 6 builder action, 1 finished district per turn.

Not out yet!
