Organizing Thread Vikings PBEM

Would 1-2 brave souls be interested in trying out to play those scenarios with me?

I do not think those scenarios are half bad and they are a nice challenge run without direct competition.

I would love to try out the Viking one first.

If you'll have me I would be up for it. I cannot commit to more than one turn per day which might be bad for a 3 person game. The Viking scenario is what caught my eye as well.

Can do 1 tpd easily, 2 if the turns arrive in my morning and my evening at least for December.

I quite liked the scenarios on SP. Nice change of pace and not too long. I'd be interested in playing if there's enough people for two games, or if someone wants a backseat driver. The Vikings and Poland were my favorites. Gut reaction is to agree with omitting Path to Nirvana but maybe it could be interesting as MP?

Sounds like we will aim to play the Viking scenario then.

If we find enough people what could be fun would be 3x 2player teams.

I haven't ever looked at p0laying any of the scenarios but this sounds intriguing. I'm willing to play and could get 1-2 turns per day depending on the time windows.

I think we could very well get something going here.

1 turn per day should be sufficient, it is a 60 turn scenario after all, still if we team up 2 players each, the ones with less time could dedlurk.

Up for grabs:

Norway Harald Hardrada (+2 movement)
Denmark Canute (extra military policy)
Sweden Olof Skötkonung (extra economic policy)

I played Norway and Sweden to finish and tried Denmark.
Basically the special abilities are the name of the game. Denmark lends itself to outright conquest, Sweden for colonization, Norway for long voyages, exploration and pillaging.

With all three doing a bit of everything as well. I highly recommend that you guys do a testgame of 20 turns or so before you start and thus we decide on whom we want to play.

I do not mind doing any of them, with a slight lean towards Norway.

I just realized that when I am traveling in December I won't be able to bring my PC. Since that would put me out for 2 weeks, I am best off as a dedlurker.

I've finished it as all 3 for achievement whoring purposes but naturally with the AI that's not saying much. If we're picking teams I think I liked Sweden the best. Can play any though. Currently travelling for Thanksgiving but starting Monday I'll be free to drive a civ (into the ground)
