Cool, glad you're enjoying it.

I would have never guessed that you made maps, always thought it was just refsteel/mardoc/krill.

Well Charriu ended up doing what i wanted, but he threw his Trebs at my stack just to screw with the odds a little. To try and keep some of my knights alive, i threw my HA's at the city to damage the pike and other top defenders. Lost several HA's but i think it was worth it, as i only lost 3 knights or so. All of my units that attacked except 4, will promote next turn allowing most of the stack to fork the cap, or just grab the cap in two turns. I want that island of Charriu's and i will not allow Shallow to take anymore of his cities. Speaking of Shallow.. he has moved his stack out of Magic's land and looks like he could either swing my way in 2ish turns, or head back into magic land and get smacked by cats+ archers, OR even better... if he runs it into Elkad land. Shallows "defense against Superdeath" stack moved towards Charriu, and i do not like it. All of my cities that arnt building wonders are working on Colosseum's and castles, followed by either Knights or Cats. Hoping to have a decent catapult stack near Green Lantern, and near Spiderman to deter any attacks. With Charriu hopefully near gassed, i should be able to grab at least his cap + another before waiting on more units. His land will push my maintenance costs a bit however. Saving gold for a couple turns to grab banking, then saving gold till Golden Age when i will be pushing Gunpowder-Military Tradition and then nothing but Cuirs everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Got to watch for possible Magic "backstab" with coastal shit so whipping/moving some longbows around before our peace is up. Also going to upgrade the garrison at our magic (soon to be elkad/shallow) border. Things are heating up, and im sure there will be alot of backstabbing and random war declarations happening soon. I am most certainty on edge right now, as an attack by Shallow would be devastating right now, and would hand the game to Elkad.. Which i hope he knows. Whomever attacks the other out of the big 3, makes the 3rd person the winner at the current moment imo. Im hoping that with Military tradition, i can make that statement false.

A screenshot of the log would be nice after a big battle. Not the detailed combat log, just the one with the green/red win/loss so we can count the dead bodies And thanks for using spoilers on your screenshots Your thread loads in a flash now.

forgot to get that last time i was logged in, ill grab that next time im in. I believe i lost 3 knights, and like .. 6 or 7 HA's?
Currently healing up for a turn before pushing for the cap. Im doubtful that he has enough in his cap even if they are all pikes to deter me from taking it. I can rebuild knights, he cannot recapture his cap
Will update with pictures when i dont work in 5hrs.

Healed up, got all my knights except 3, in good enough shape to slam into his cap unless he gets 10 or more units in there. Top odds vs his top defender is currently 25%, but i got a boat load of knights.. So, unless he can have a 3-4 per kill ratio his cap falls. Im remaking a bunch of knights, and i hope Elkad sends back the Marble for stone deal, as i could use the stone to speed up these damn castles. Still hoping that Elkad and Shallow get into some sort of uneasy peace/some fighting over Magic's cities or at the VERY least, magic slams into Shallows stack with all of his stuff weakening him. Taj is due in 6 turns, Sistine in 5 turns, Next turn i will turn on research and 2turn banking. After that i head for gunpowder/military tradition followed by either a beeline for rifles, or liberalism depending on global situation. Sooner or later Magic will likely attempt to boat some of my cities as im doubtful he will only harass Elkad.
Possible hope is that with this extra land from Charriu, and hopefully some fighting between elkad/shallow i can eventually convince Shallow to join together in carving Elkad in half. Hopefully before they both decide to do that to me. Speaking of which, im still really nervous about them both having their main stacks within spitting distance of two of my best cities.. Going to be ordering up alot of defense soon.. hopefully not too late.

Well, i captured two of Charriu's cities.. Im hoping the last of his units are hold up in cities as pure garrisons and no more actual stacks. He has a random General pikeman near the shore that i expect him to either suicide killing a top defender knight next turn, or ferry off to his island city. I had JUST enough to capture his capital as i had to use my medic 2 chariot.. Cutting it REAL close there. Everyone will no doubt notice the HUGE power drop that will be replaced soon. Finishing castles everywhere for the extra trade route income, and finishing banking in two turns. Taj will complete in 5 turns, giving me 3 turns to either run 100% gold or research at less than 100% during a GA.. likely going to run 100% gold for those 3 turns. Planning on bee-lining Military Tradition-Gunpowder and going to hopefully swap into full-time war civics to pump out as many Cuirs as possible. Still saving the Great Scientist that i have as paper is only a 3 turn tech, and imo, not worth bulbing. Might end up with two GS's from the cap making another one ( hoping for something different ) and could end up bulbing education. This game looks a bit more bloody than PB39, so i kinda expect it to come to a close before Infantry. All depends on if im allowed to rebuild from losing 85% of my knights or so. I should have the Taj in the bag, as im doubtful that Elkad is researching nearly as fast as Shallow or myself, and Shallow is still 11ish? turns away from nationalism giving me hopefully a good 10 turn window where i will have Cuirs and the others wont. I might end up swapping back to slavery at the end of the GA to whip myself an army to go clean up the spoils. Although Magic could be a pita by doing some coastal blockading ect to me as well. Hoping whomever had the spy gets dealt with by magic harshly.
Army comparison and thoughts-
Shallow- Has mostly knights but also has a fair stack of cats/1movers to go with it. Hasnt had any major losses yet.
Elkad- Has severly outdated preats that still pose a threat to basically everything in a city. Hopefully he and Shallow get involved in something so i can not worry as much about that border.
Charriu- Was very low in power before my attack on his capital, and im hopeful that he has no more than 10 units or so left.
Magic- Has a fair amount of naval power, and a fairly decent amount of longbows/archers. Needs Elkad/Shallow to get involved in a mini-war to stay even partially relevant.
Myself- Had 2nd/3rd power and lost a fair chunk of units to 20-35% odd fights, fair enough i say at the end of the day.. so long as no one takes advantage of it.
Ranking-
Shallow- Has a great position. Lots of cities, the top power, and can decide the course of the game by either hitting Magic and taking the rest of his cities. Hitting Elkads exposed forces and pushing me into a winning position. Hitting myself, and throwing Elkad some much needed time to rebuild/research back into the pack. He could also take Liquid Flame which is an excellent city from Charriu.
Myself- Ive got the geographic position of a turkey in the middle of thanksgiving season.. However my GNP is currently top notch, i have excellent production for the # of cities i have, and ive just added a rival capital to my collection. Given time to rebuild i think i have the best position however #1 goes to Shallow as he doesnt need any wait time to be on top.
Elkad- I put him below Shallow and I as he is behind in tech, as he just added knights to his stack. He is currently getting wrecked by Magic's coastal funships, and he could be in an awkward position vs Shallow in the near future depending on who captures what.
Magic- Has Naval superiority of the north sea. Otherwise, he is basically boned. He might end up surviving till the end game depending on if Elkad can stay out of trouble long enough to build galleons to finish him off.
Charriu- Had an ok start, got into a slight altercation with Rome's old leader over the gold city and didnt go anywhere with his sizeable army at the time costing him a chance at being a top contender. China got dog-piled by the big 3 which didnt help, but he had been behind in tech and land for awhile. He hopefully doesnt have much left, and will most certainty be leaving the game before magic.
RFS- All i can say was.. try again next pitboss now that you have learned a bit! The start wasnt the best and it kind of all rolled downhill from there. RFS's lack of expansion really fueled Shallows early-mid game expansion, allowing Shallow to really compete vs just be in the pack.

And a small question, it must be different in pitbosses.. but doesnt the completion of a wonder by someone else automatically give you $ and cancel your production of a wonder on the turn roll? Because it still shows that im working on Sistine with a due date of 4 turns. . .

Looks like wonder fail gold/ production is delayed a turn, netting me another 400+ gold! That will do nicely when i head straight for Cuirs. My power isnt bad compared to Elkad's stack, but compared to Shallows.. Ugh. Every city that isnt focusing on building a castle or isnt a newly conquered city is building knights. Got to get those numbers up so i dont look weak. Going to swap to Mercantilism- caste while in the golden age via Taj, then its time for war civics at the end of the GA with Vassalage/maybe slavery.
Shallow looks like he is about to take Sidon. Which might spark some tensions between the other two powers.
Charriu is shipping his GG pikeman to his last couple cities. Here's hoping he has nothing in his island city, because once my new cities come out of revolt.. im building galleys to go and take it.

We might be in the middle of an eventual turn split between Us, and Shallow. He has a galley in Olaf, and we are building a galley at lightspeed from one of Charriu's cities. Going to be heading straight for his island city with a couple knights. That island will give us another good trade route i believe.. so its very valuable. I will be declaring war on Shallow should he try and take it. If he ends up taking it, my math puts me there on the same turn / 1 turn behind.. and if he doesnt have much capturing it i will not hesitate to slam my knights into it. Plus, that should be a nice way to possibly get another 10 turn peace with him. AND that might spark some fire under Elkad's belly so long as he has dealt with Magic by then.
Shallow is currently leading all the demos that i can see so far. At least according to graphs. Im hopeful that he is running wealth/research to get his numbers otherwise this might be a longer game than i would like.

Ill do a full update next turn, but basically, Charriu continued to have his other city w/o garrison so i decided to strike and raze it to the ground as it isnt that great of a city and i would rather have the crab for my current city. Plus i netted some capture gold. Also, Magic has advanced his War elephant/cat stack towards The Flash.. He is sorta evading Elkad's stack, however i dont trust Magic to not try anything so i rerouted some knights/longbows just incase. Taj completes EOT, and ill swap to some fun civics, also partly debating on going into Pacifism for a lil bit and getting another great person or not.. Might not be worth it depending on how quickly Shallow/Elkad start looking for fresh meat. Ill get Military tradition i believe, by the end of the GA. Plus i should be a good chunk into Gunpowder. But that will have to wait till next turn so i can check :D

Well.. Elkad/Shallow both are at peace with Magic atm. Im sorta afraid of Magic deciding to get me back for the early city snipe with his galleon harassment. Also, Shallow has moved 2 galleys into range to declare on Charriu soon. Meanwhile, Charriu has been blockading my only two tiles that either city on the southern coast can put a boat on. So ive had to delay my plans to get a galley headed to Charrius island city by swapping to the galley killing boat. ill whip it asap, which the overflow ( i only need 7 overflow/production ) will finish the galley. Ive sent a request for crab FROM Shallow, hoping to indicate that im grabbing that island city, and i will see it as somewhat of an act of war if he takes it.
Im going to have to swap some cities over to wealth builds to get Military Tradition done in time, but im still hopeful that all my bank/grocer/market builds i currently have going will get me by. Curious what tech choice Shallow will go after next after Nationalism. If he goes for Military tradition or gunpowder then i know i can plan on beating him to Cuirs by a fair chunk. If he decides to go for liberalism, ill pop paper out in 1-2 turns and then my very likely 2nd gs from the cap will help bulb education putting me easily ahead in the liberalism race. Right now though, im hoping i get a merchant from Spiderman as i can go on a trade mission and get me some upgrade/research gold. Although the other likely GP is a prophet, and now that i have an ok holy city a shrine wouldn't be too bad. Still hoping that i can get 3 different ones for a nice golden age soon for more military production. Gotta keep up with Shallow. Elkad tbh, is the wildcard. While Magic/Charriu can be annoying in the next few turns, Elkad can truly set the game pace from here i think. He lost almost no Praets, and can hit some of my better cities OR start carving up Shallow. So long as he actually is fighting shallow and not just declaring war to hope i get involved, i wouldn't mind cutting Shallow in chunks. Otherwise, i put Shallow ahead of myself mainly due to how the borders are, and the fact that i lost SOO many knights against Charriu that i could be really badly hurt if he wanted to press his luck.
