So it's a race between the hardy frontiersmen running from the law, and the lawmen following quickly behind? Who's going to win? The lawmen, definitely. Capital Mk2, Hamlin, just built one that is earning a metric ton. Forbidden palace will be such a huge build.
Seven cottages, nice size...Hamlin baby, you're beautiful.
Here's the F1, by request. Whole lotta forges are getting built next turn. Which is the most miserable point of the game, it's so many hammers. Have to, though, the +25% hammers is vital and pays back the high 120h cost very quickly. OR is going to help in the golden age; we're debating between Christianity and Hinduism for the religion to convert to. I think we're going to try for the shrine that will be Hinduism, but Christianity keeps spreading like this, we might have to talk.

I hadn't been looking at the power graph recently but the recent spike by naufrager has been impressive.
Then Rusten went and did this
That's a dozen popoulation gone. Naufrager obviously is really coming after Rusten and has a serious force. Which is fantastic for us.
GNP Scrying: 2 people have Machinery. Commodore and I already noticed Naufrager. Is Rusten the other with his GNP? Likely

Man, I really hope that's a bunch of G2 crossbows getting whipped, and not a bunch of galleys into galleons. This war is serious, but of course when the two largest powers clash that sometimes means the situation becomes even more dangerous. If they make peace...
Somewhat personally demoralized to report at the moment, given my new status as unexpected bum.

unexpected bum?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Yup. Already have a few interviews next week, so I hope it won't be long term, but it still sucks.
I was going to update my illustration to show more of the north, but my scanner was at work. Anyway, Donovan is looking pretty tasty. For reasons beyond knowing, he's yet to fill up his continent, as you can see. It's easy takings there...
Naufragar has now made it 2 for 2 with his "fight the putative favorite" move. I approve so very much, even if I have my doubts.
...because guess what?

It's usually more fun to work for someone who's growing than shrinking, so maybe it'll turn out well in the long run.

I don't quite see the relevant piece of that screenshot. The first place in score? The way your net income seems to be a good 30 higher than it was last time I checked?

Yeah, so all those whips I saw wasn't the hasty attempt at a scrambled defense, but pre-whipping galleys to get swapped into galleons after he finished Astro.

My world's on fire, how about yours? That's the way I like it and I'll never get bored.
Baller stuff. So what we have here is every neighbor fighting: - Donovan Zoi attacked BGNu, who have three times his city count.
- Naufragar attacked Rusten, precisely one turn before he bulbed Astronomy.
...Pindicator and I are over here just praying nobody see us for another *checks watch* 13 turns.
