Captured some random Elkad city, probably should have burned it but whatever. Split off my Cuirs from that mini-stack down south to hopefully capture that nice city. My north stack has moved in, and will probably raze the city, and going to march on to his capital. I do have to "thank" Magic for bombarding all those defenses down.. lol makes it a little bit easier. Elkad still has a fair amount of power, and although its likely mostly praets/knights, he does/did have a large stack of muskets. Gotta be careful of that. I also dont know where the fuck Shallow's stacks have gone to, thats great. We have peace for another... 5? 6? turns, ill have to check next turn. Slowly building the cat counterstacks over our stupid long border.
%chance of winning-
Shallow- 90%
Me- 9%
Elkad- 1%
Magic- 0%.
I have to hope that Shallow attacks Elkad, and Elkad swings at Shallow with everything he has. Im losing alot of gold at 0%.. going to have to run wealth builds soon. Swapped to Free Religion because i dont really need to be building units EVERY turn, + it frees up a turn without paying upkeep. I dont know what i would even tech to at this point.. go the long run to infantry? would take me 30+ turns.. hmm.. do i just build wealth, and just keep making units? Maybe. It is a little annoying needing Astro to get Magic's main trade routes, and im not opening borders with Shallow, thats just a free scouting... Ugh. so much disappointment in this game. "Superdeath tries his best" my ass.
I can upload images if lurkers want, and can agree on a way that isnt a "pita opening spoliers" or "hogging alot of bandwith" Cuz uploading pictures is a pita, but ill do it so long as people want to see stuff.
#1 in power by a little bit over Shallow, by alot over Elkad, not that that matters all that much because he is defending... but still. Rest of my demos are absolute garbage tier.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Well, if Shallow doesnt attack me once our peace is up.. ill war-peace him so i can build up a very nice stack of Cavs.. Because im heading for Military science. At least 1, if not multiple cities currently can create commando's. So long as i can defend with rifles, a stack of 20-30 commando cavs could chew thru several of his spear/warrior defended cities. Guess thats one upside to having to defend EVERYWHERE... i cant be commando'd nearly as easily.
Game is still likely lost, unless he leaves alot of cities undefended in like... 25 turns or less. My eco is complete shit, and unless Elkad's land magically gives me positive research w/o wealth builds... its not looking pretty. ( i did some military guess work, and i can raze his capital turn 2 of the war with commandos, without him being able to bring any significant army there.

Spoilers is my preference for screenshots, for what that’s worth. One or two per post outside of spoiler tags is fine. Also you can put all images in each post into one spoiler if that’s easier.
The Screenshot tag i don’t think is much help now. If I remember correctly, it was created to solve an issue where very wide screenshots caused the forum view to be wider than the screen width, forcing viewers to scroll back and forth to read each line of text. The spoiler tag reduces the viewing size but I don’t think it does anything to compress the actual file size that has to be downloaded. With the newer forum version, the images are automatically scaled down in view-size to fit the width of the screen.

Gotcha, Thanks for the input!
Onto the report-
While im still fully aware that Shallow is more than likely the Runaway civ at this time, if i can secure a 10t peace treaty with him, i think i could go a long way towards Military Science.. I will have to "sigh" burn a turn of anarchy to switch to vassalage.. but i can create commandos from at least one city, if not a couple. Commando rifles/cavs... it would take a fucking long time to make a big enough force to raze enough cities to turn the tide of the game that im still willing to concede to Shallow at this point. I believe he is planning to raze a city or two that ive captured from Elkad, however only one city ( sadly Liquid Flame ) is vulnerable next turn to a mounted stack as the rest will be popping borders. I have my extra Cuirs sitting and waiting ( all VERY highly promoted ) that will punish any large stack that comes into the area. I also have several workers in the area to road and perhaps take/raze the Mid's city next turn. Shallow will never let me keep the city, so unless i can kill Elkad, and move EVERYTHING to it ( for rep obviously ) i will have to burn it. Elkad... unless he has a fair stack of cats is doomed in two'ish turns. He can kill my south stack by suiciding a bunch of units, or he can retake one of the cities which i can then slam with a cat or twenty, and retake.. but regardless Elkad should be eliminated in the next 2-3 turns. Shallow took Elkad's Oracle city of Canoel with a shrine.. so thats GREAT as well. Shallow really needs to harass me, or slam the tech into 2nd gear and run for Infantry. I can make this a tough win, but it will still end up being a win for Shallow. Speaking of Shallow.. he is teching towards Astro. Even better. I can simply put rifles in coastal cities like i did with Magic, and nothing should be taken.

well, im going to call that game. Shallow hit my units thru Elkad's borders and killed my only true stack left. Ive already stated my feelings about this game/opponents in previous posts.. but any even SLIVER of a chance that i could grab a victory via commando units.. was destroyed this turn. I concede, and will not play any further turns regardless in this pitboss. Its at this point, pointless. Congrats Shallow, a very well done game. ( although im still peeved that you got to start next to RFS )
Elkad, the "grand betrayal" was not what i wanted it to be. I, in general, like to play honest cooperative games. If i have an ally, i try not to backstab them. Now, in this case, i figured that you were going to lose and using my reasoning ( which i slap myself alot for ) Figured you would rather lose land to myself, than Shallow.
Magic, i can only have a love-hate relationship with you in this game.. I love the fact that you took to the seas instead of throwing away your civ. I love the coastal destruction you brought across everyone on the north sea. Sadly, there was little you could do vs Shallow, so i figure you were trying to harm me/elkad enough to get yourself a better placement. Well done.
May there be more pitboss's where i can redeem some of these really shitty mistakes.. Like taking Economics instead of RP and just beelining for rifles... Ugg.

I dont know about "great" game, i think i just ended up lucky that Rome went through soo many changes when it was clearly in the lead.
