You know I've realized I haven't seen a single barbarian city on my huge island that I left unsettled all this time?

The freaking barbs don't even want to settle this shit.

Considering the foodless, resource-less horrors we've seen out of the barbs in 41, that's...saying a lot.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I'm #1 in power...

Look at this...

I'm looking to settle 5 foodless cities and 1 city with plains sheep. I keep logging in and thinking I can do something and then I look over at this shit and get all depressed again.

Maybe 6 turns and I'll attack DZ again. He's getting machinery in 8 turns. He'll probably try to upgrade archers to xbows, but I don't think he'll have enough money or time to stop me from taking his capital/shrine. My power keeps going up, but DZ is not building units at the moment.

The best use of that shit land might be to just leave it fallow until you can build the national epic and a shit pile of forest preserves and the treehugger wonder that would give you a free specialist for each preserve. You don't have to use food to get the specialist that way. The only (obvious) problem with this is that with such shitty land you'll never get all the techs you'd need to make that feasible. Just chop em all into a horde of hungry knights and go take better land.

Currently have 1 settler headed for the silver. I don't think I'll be settling anything else just yet.

That really is perplexingly terrible land, can't remember the last time I saw a legitimate mapscript spit out something so awful before.

So DZ landed this settler and archer:

I'm not sure what to do about turn order. DZ and I have both been playing double turns as the last to play. This turn I played first though I played second last turn. If DZ plays a double turn I guess I can attack him in the second half of the turn? I'd rather have first I think. So does that mean if he plays tonight, then I can play first in the next turn and declare war? I think I can declare war next turn... I think war ended on T125 and next turn is T135. I can't allow DZ to have iron when he finishes researching Machinery.

Honestly I should have moved the HAs to that spot last turn and moved them to the hill this turn, but I missed that they had landed because I played the turn fast since I had my daughter hanging on my arm. banghead
