Alharmbram isn't updating his thread while still playing his turns in a timely matter so I call the game for Grotsnot. Great comeback with the Denmark crash and burn. I think Sweeden might be too powerful because the game makers aren't as good so the "15 turns" don't happen. Denmark crashing and burning should have given Alharmbram the win through.

Victory points from the remaining cities to be captured are likely to be equally split between Sweden and Norway (with some minor spoils going to Norway), and then Sweden will eventually take the lead thanks to having so many more total cities. On that front, it's not even close; Sweden has about 20 cities to about 12 for Norway, and they still have room for even more settlers. The players are underestimating how much time is left in the game; they still have 25 turns remaining, and all of the cities on the map will be captured in the next 10 turns. Then there will be 15 turns left for Sweden to grow population, run trade routes, and chase after the remaining victory points, and having double the cities of anyone else should allow them to pass the rest of the field. Yeah, this is the main part of why I posted on the main thread this scenario would probably work better with 50 turns with a competitive crowd. There's just too much time left after there are no more worlds left to conquer. I know I bitched a lot in our thread about the board being skewed against Sweden in the first 15-20 turns but having an extra 10 turns at the end to focus exclusively on developing Russia was a godsend. We wanted to but, for whatever reason, the scenario disables harvesting resources. You can chop forests and marshes but not wheat, stone, or deer.
oh ok. So vikings = maori?
