The official NASA acronym document is 143 pages long, so there's a bit of translation fatigue hitting too. If it helps, you haven't been missing much, the game is pretty much where it was: Tried to sneak a strike over the Core Rustenland, but unfortunately he has vision via Naufragar and get scrambled frigates. That GNP stat is really, really bad. I'll try and do a few bit-by-bit updates about the empire. I'll start today with Silver Island and Superdead Islands: This land should basically be considered our winnings from the early Superdeath Duel. Three sources of silver, a high-food island that netted us a Great Scientist or two, and Dallas, the glorious Heroic Epic city. Marshall, Garner, and Curtis are the other halfway decent production sites, although Wallace and Agnew will make do as well. Stevenson's forbidden palace has been a *huge* help here in keeping costs sane, but this whole area isn't exactly an economically booming region. Castles pay for themselves extremely fast but there's nothing really raking in coin besides the odd silver mine and Stevenson's hamlets. I'm pretty sure we'd have preferred to start in less Death Ground starts (every other start besides Superdeath's and ours), but if we had to make war, these two huge islands are a big-time asset going forward.

Well, better use my sacrifice to win the game. Dont let it be in vain!
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Could you please elaborate on the tech rate/tech situation? Is that GNP number representative of your actual tech pace?

Without Wealth builds it is. Our current dilemma is that we've invested a lot in short term gains and military techs this game. The last round of that was supposed to pay off with knights - but we only ended up gaining 4 mediocre cities instead of the dozen that we had envisioned. Then with the push to frigates we're currently at risk of doing nothing with all those hammers.
We can either push for immediate military gains - Nationalism be damned, the battle will be won by sea anyway - or we can change gears and invest in economic gains. But unless we commit to one path or another I fear for chances.

Rusten is going to be eating someone now. Given the confident placement of the UoS in TheRedDot, I think it's Naufragar.
Also fun, I think that was Rusten's privateer. Didn't think about it, just saw the privateer and popped that sucker.

Nothing of note here. Just want to express my distaste to those who play clock games and a wish that their empires crumble into the dust of 100 razed cities

Is this a backhanded insult towards somebody, or is this a legitimate random gripe?

Not to be overly pedantic, but I don't believe I insulted. I certainly insinuated, but it's not like I called them Parkin wannabe try-hards. If I had done that, you could call my behavior backhanded insulting
EDIT: TO BE CLEAR, I DO NOT INTEND TO INSINUATE THAT PARTICULAR INSULT TOWARDS WHICHEVER NAMELESS INDIVIDUAL(S) WE ARE TALKING ABOUT
