EDIT: Also scooter, given you’re presumably playing SOME of your MP on the Switch, how much does the screen and/or controls harm the experience?
I actually prefer the controls on the switch over PC controls, but that may be due to 1) my AW history of playing on a handheld and 2) playing on a laptop touchpad which obviously isn't as precise as a mouse.
Overall, I actually don't love the campaign very much, but they've done some nice things like introducing a mid-mission save state that'll make me return to it soon. The issue I had is some of the missions are flat out unfair (enemy units you aren't prepared for spawning at map edge), so to sink 40 minutes into a mission and then lose and have to restart the whole thing because I couldn't see the future. I think the campaign as a whole is one of the weakest parts of the game. This may be a minority opinion actually, but it's just how I feel about it. It's definitely robust in terms of content at this price point. The challenge stuff is cool though, and the MP options are really deep and great. Yeah, there's some memorization issues with the campaign, but most missions are short enough that it isn't a problem (and the long missions are generally more War Room-focused). I'd say the Arcade Mode is weak--it's a lot of content, but it's very repetitive, and "your opponents get twice the funds" is a much dumber balancing knob than the imbalanced War Room maps.
BTW, you can use a controller on the PC version--that's how I prefer to play if I'm not just playing a MP turn. BTW is there an equivalent to the "cycle active units" command (L) with the mouse/keyboard setup?

So, I totally lied about wanting a short break; up for another FFA or teamer whenever. Maybe a FFA with naval units, for Maximum Complexity?

Anyone interested in a FFA on this map?:
Probably with fog, which is the map default. Lots of classic Advance Wars-style production facilities and towns everywhere.

That map is tempting--I want to try to stay to one FFA at a time, but this may break that.

Why not join a game?

GG, fellow FoW players! I'll go read everyone's threads now; interestingly, after being eliminated I can now view the units of each player as they're up in rotation, as an observer.
