The abundance of jungle and the way this map is likely structured means iron working will be an early necessity. 5 civs went for hunting/fishing, Gavagai goes for agriculture, superdeath/donovan going BW first? Or is Gavagai working a floodplain with a commerce and superdeath/donovan are due for agri next turn? Too lazy to check beaker values. Our exploration is going along nicely, with our worker working on improving the deer tile. We'll be building 2 warriors while our city grows to s2, by which time BW will be done and we will be able to speedily chop out our second worker and immediately afterwards a settler. Also, if there are any lurkers around, I am unable to promote our warrior, even though it has the necessary experience (as seen above), which seems very strange. Any tips?
I presume you got the xp from defending vs a barb this turn? I think the barb turn is considered to be at the start of the overall turn, so you won't be able to promote until next turn. (Similar to if you were second in a turn split and got defensive xp.)

New warrior pumped out (The Big Red One - WWII division name theme for military units, New Deal program theme for workers), waiting on city to grow to size 2, after which we immediately switch to another worker, which when complete, will help the other worker chop out a settler and settle the fish tile. Meanwhile, putting some overflow hammers into a barracks. Tech path is probably Fishing -> pottery -> myst -> meditation -> priesthood? |
