Congrats Old Harry, on your win!
( i resigned, i felt there was no real way to win from a positional/map and commander vs commander standpoint ) Plus i didnt really feel like having a month long stalemate that i couldnt win, and you had several avenues opening up for victory. Well played. Im just happy i got to get another kill on my belt..

In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Anyone want to pick out another map to play on? I prefer FoW, but im open to 2v2, FFA ect.

NNQV22 is the code for a FFA FoW map, looks balanced? If anyone is up for another game.

Ha! My plan of grinding everyone down with dull, defensive, pragmatic play, trying to keep out of any fights and wait for you guys to all kill each other worked! I felt like a spectator for most of the game - I'd say you and Hesmyr played better (or at least more aggressive and entertaining) games.
Is there any way to look at the game now it's over? I'm not sure that I see the avenues you do, so it might be instructive... Also what do the sword and skull icons on that victory screen mean?
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

We played the meta, and you conquered the meta with your "spectator-ness"
AFAIK, there is no way to "view/look" at the game now that its over, but i took several screenshots before throwing you the win.
Id figure the sword is kills, and the skull is deaths on the victory screen.
When it comes to avenues, i had no way to attack into you without losing more on the counter. You had the entire center basically under your control, and with several dragons along with mages/spears.. i couldnt even break your wall without busting my groove. PLUS, you could sit back and wait for me to attack and counter till the end of time in your position. IMO, the only way i could have gotten the win there would be for you to have brought your commander into the open somewhere/not grabbed those barracks down south as fast as you did. As soon as you built a treb there, my southern push was a suicide run. Didnt help that you had both a income advantage when i killed Hesmyr, but also a unit advantage.. very difficult to beat that in a 1v1 with no FoW.

Cool thanks - I grabbed one of your screenies for my last report. I think I see what you mean about units and income, but I wonder if the right move is always to wait for the other guy to move first (perhaps even if you've got less income)? I'll be a bit disappointed if that is the best way to play, so I'll jump into the next FoW game to see how that changes things.
On swords/skulls - that was what I thought, but then the two columns should add up to the same number, shouldn't they?
GG!

Maybe for those killed before the game is called, their units that go "poof" get counted as well? /shrug.

I really need to find a proper combat calculator. Does a good one exist? I did kinda back of the envelope math and was pretty confident I was going to be safe with my leader there. I guess I underestimated the river malus. It's a bummer because I felt like I was in a pretty solid position overall.
