So I did a sim to determine whether to go Crafting->Mining after Calendar, to hook up the Wine and Gems, before going for FoL. It turns out, that skipping them doesn't actually get me to FoL much quicker, and obviously having Crafting and Mining is pretty nice, and I can get a really nice God-King capital thanks to all the happiness resources, and get an early great person from the Elder Council and Pagan Temple specialist slots.
So that's the plan. This map has completely messed up my initial planning, I was assuming it'd be similar to previous maps, ie: with agriculture food resources and lots of forests around the cap. Instead theres no agriculture food, lots of Calendar resources and few trees. My pick isn't looking too good so far. I will still be rushing Priesthood though and seeing if I can't Bloom some forests up in time for them to actually help in any way.

I just finished my second worker. I decided not to wait until I hit size 5 because as the Elves my workers are really slow, so I need more of them. Also, my free pop earlier let me get away with starting my worker a lot earlier, so even though Mack and Dave are at size 5 I don't think I'm behind at all.
My city spots are shown here too. The first one to the south is quite close to my cap and, not really taking advantage of being Creative, but there's only jungle for borders to expand into, and I need to work that cotton. The city to the north gets the other Incense. Since I'm not get Education early, I need to rely on Calendar resources for commerce. After that I'll probably go for the spot on the floodplain of that desert to the SW.

Actually, civic-change timing and religious conversion timing are on two separate and completely independent clocks (and even of different lengths in EitB). So you should be able to adopt FoL regardless of how recently you've done a civics swap.

Well, isn't that a bit of welcome news. Thanks

Update: turn 69
I think I'm doing pretty well. I've been 2nd in the demos for a while now (mack is first, and way ahead in GNP). I founded FoL, spread it to all my cities, built a temple in my cap. And I got my first great person, a Prophet:
Originally I planned on building the shrine, but then I saw that bulb symbol and realised that I can bulb in FFH as well as regular BTS/RtR. It's not something I've done much in (at all) in these EitB games, so why not, maybe it'll be worthwhile. But unfortunately there's no handy list of bulb priorities like BTS, so I'm going to have to do a bunch of testing to find out. Right now it can get Hidden Paths, which isn't all that useful atm, so I'm just sitting tight with him for now until I figure out what tech I want to use him on.
In other news I've got a settler on the way for city #4. It's probably the last city I found before I get BW and can chop down the Jungles. After I finish that settler I'm going to build a bunch of Disciples, I just revolted to Apprenticeship and I want to build them early so they can build up the xp for eventual upgrades to Priests.
I'm finally getting AH, I have a hunter out already that I need to get the xp on for Subdue Animal, and see if I can get some Elephants or Spiders.
And as expected, I need more workers. These elves are really damn slow of building improvements.

So after some testing I can bulb most of Priesthood once I get Philosophy. So that looks to be the plan. Philo next then an early Priesthood.

There is; it's just really badly formatted and hidden in a buried thread. And now copy-pasted, reformatted to be more readable, and placed in your thread!

Thanks RefSteel, that is very helpful indeed.
Turn 79.
Lots of warring going on it seems. Mack took a city of Auro's a few turns ago, and then cast his worldspell. I can't really tell how the fight is going since I still haven't met Auro so I can't see his power on the graph, but it's got to be close to Macks since I'm ahead of Dave and superjm, but still third in soldier count. Dave however, has declared war on Mack, so maybe there's something of a dogpile going on? I have my Satyr heading towards mack to have a look.
Back at home things are going generally well. I did bulb Priesthood and I have my first couple of Priest of Leaves out and Blooming. Once I get a third one I'll gather them up and start summoning Tigers for an attack on a nearby barb city. I'm also going to build a settler soon, so as I expand I'll have to decide when to swap out of God-King. I think at the very least I'll stay in GK until I build Duruptus in my cap.
Health is starting to be a problem, not a lot of health resources around and I'm only now starting to pasture my Pigs. The next couple cities I plan on getting will get me Rice and Wheat, so that'll help. I might actualkly end up building a Granary and/or Smokehouse in my cap and see just how tall I can grow it.
Bronze Working is my next tech target
Here's an overview of my empire:
And with resource bubbles turned on:

Demos
On average I've been in second place on the important demos, behind Mack, who I'm assuming is getting boosted by settled GP from early Shades? Probably all in a GK-boosted cap. However, I'm first in pop and my Food is still high up there, so hopefully, as I expand peacefully and my cottages and forests grow, I'll be able to take the lead in the demos. Winning the game, I'm not sure what my path is atm, but it would appear that a quick win for Mack is off the table, he took that one city, but no more even after casting his WS, and now is fighting Dave as well? So hopefully I have the time. Not sure what superjm is up to, presumably the same as me.

Those are all good Enya songs but I’m surprised you haven’t founded Orinoco Flow yet.
