Ok, free settler banned it is then. I did overlook it by not properly reading all posts here, sorry. I assumed only VA and Syticha.
I didn't pick pantheon yet so no damage done here and I won't pick free settler.

I haven't bought any DLC/expansions at all for Civ6. If I only bought Gathering Storm, would it work, or do I need to buy basically everything? I'm a bit unclear on how DLC works in general for Civ6.

I think you need both. With Chev as a mapmaker.
