I thought this was a pbem.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Bug Hunt ...
1) What is that revealed map info I see top right of the mini-map? That isn't right
2) And what about those + and - signs with the arrows just above the scorecard. That isn't BUG!

That's from Ramkhamhaeng's PBmod

EDIT: For now I left it unchanged, but I'm thinking about removing his scoreboard implementation and replacing it with the one from BUG. Most of his changes were made to improve the UI for games with over 16 players. But we don't play games with such many players often, so I think I can remove it.

First off ... password for game is a super secret 'aa'.  Maybe not my best effort re security ... but much better than 'a'.

Bug #1 is still there.  Doesn't anyone listen to these bug reports?

Bug #3 ... windows firewall blocked entry to this game.  But the BtS page just sat there smiling at me.  Had to Alt-Tab out to see the firewall message ... and by the time I got back in, game had reported 'lost connection'.

I'm looking at your bugs right now:

Bug #1

I'm not sure what you mean.

Where exactly do you see the revealed map info in this screenshot. Above the minimap is only the scoreboard. The 39 is your score and the 5 the turns for your tech.

Bug #2

Wow, that looks horrible. I can see that you are not playing with the standard UI theme. I only tested with the standard UI and had no problems. Could you send me your settings for the UI theme? Otherwise it's hard for me to reproduce the bug.

Bug #3

The question may sound stupid, but what would the expected behaviour in this case be? Also which Windows version?

Bug #4

Mh that's strange not sure how to reproduce this. Other question I see that those 2 are from BUG 4.5. I was not aware that there was a newer version then 4.4. Where would I find more info about that version, 4.5?

Bug #5

I was able to reproduce that. I also tested it in the base Bug 4.4 version and noticed that the same behaviour occures there. I noted it down and will have a look at it.

I'm not sure what you mean.

This isn't really a code bug.  Look at the mini-map (bottom right) and you will see my starting location highlighted ... as well as some ocean with ice on the north that has been revealed to me.  This is a map creation / editing issue.

Some might not classify this as a bug either ... but that scoreboard you have is NOT BUG.  The BUG scoreboard was neat, contained tons of info and included a screen of different options.

Charriu Wrote:Bug #3

Some might not say this is a bug either (spoil sports).  This is windows (Win10 here) firewall blocking access to a web site.  I just told Win10 to ignore this issue.  My UI has changed again ... but I haven't posted a screenshot yet.  I also haven't settled on the font I will be using.  I don't expect that my UI will cause the code any issues.

Charriu Wrote:Bug #4

The stuff from 2012 was there because my default log file is ruff_hi.txt (based on my Civ player name) ... and I had started a game with that name back in 2012.  One interesting thing to note is that the version of the code I was using back then had a higher build number than yours!

BUG probably doesn't have a watch on city name changes.  It was Delhi to start with ... but I overtyped it.  Next city will also be Delhi.  You will see that it did get it right when it reported my capital starting a worker.

Outpost Nine begins: Worker (10 turns)
