Having Shift Enter start a library since the plan to 2 whip library then immediately 3 whip forge for max overflow then spread Conf to this city so the overflow gets the OR bonus without having it divided out.

Start thinking will I ever catchup to Gav in crop yield. then looked at his cities and realized that he doesn't actually have a lot of infrastructure. So he is forgoing whipping infra. Maybe he played too much Krillmod? (preview: he is build quite a bit of infrastructure during his GA so maybe its a carryover from Krillmod). Or maybe this is the better way to build cities?

Panicked and built the trieme even though this barb galley cannot pillage the seafood since it is in the ocean. Also did my math wrong realized that Govt Plaza needs to get to size 14 for the optimal hammer build.

I shouldn't have cottage over the farm in Shift Enter since now this delayed the growth of the city. Holding overflow in DotF with wealth since I want the overflow to go into a grocer.
First to guild/knights. Can you believe it? Tech pace in this game is so slow...

Building grocer in capital with 0 overflow left instead of full production because I actually do want to grow this city to size 15 eventually since there will be extra commerce from multipliers eventually.

Here you can see the Heroic Epic and the forbidden palace already starting to payoff. The HE is giving an extra 20h to each unit build, and the FP is already saving about 20gpt so both national wonders that cost 200h will pay themselves back in 10 turns. Kind of dissappointed because I thought there would be more overflow to the NE.
Gav started his GA and now it becomes scary because he could be the tech leader at the end.

Oh Commodore, totally roleplaying by now. But on the otherhand, what else can he do at this point. A bit curious at this point that Gav teched again. I don't think he had enough overflow to tech feudalism/guilds. No map trade available and the workshops are still only 4 hammers (2base+1GA+1caste). Keeping a very close eye on both to figure out his strategy.

Here's my planned 2nd GA with the Scientist and artist combo. Already started whipping some cities so I can whip again on T186-8 and have them just grow during multiple whip unhappiness. Plan is the have the big hammer cities build wealth strategically to run 100% science for all 12 turns. In hindsight, big mistake of sending overflow to the monument in partial rush. But I was playing this turn at 1:45AM half-asleep. Should have been forge or library because I will probably whip at size 4. You can see the org difference since Gav is paying about 380g maintenance per turn but I only have about 230g maintenance per turn.

Really surprised at this build with no marble. But then again he needs 2 great people at 400 and 500 gpp for the next GA and this does help along with the Roman forum. Another 1 turned tech. Is he really exploring the top part of the tech tree? But this build had to be planned for a while. Forgot to check for paper/guilds this turn but will do for sure next. Now I am thinking I can delay the GA until the national epic is done. We will see. Wavering about overwhipping Claustrophobia and Upgrades but I don't think I will since I need these cities to reach max sizes as soon as possible for eventual naval production. I will also now temporary do the DTG thing and build windmills at those cities to help with grow and production during the golden ages. Would feel better also if superdead had 20 pikes in that border city.

Gav showed his hand by researching paper. Configured tiles so that the HE is done in two turns, the same turn as when the GA will start.

This is the last turn of Gav's golden age. the big question is whether he will stay in caste for a 2nd GP for the 2nd GA or will he burn the scientist for education for almost guaranteed liberalism. The question though is what he will take with liberalism? Nationalism? not when I have the GE, which I deliberately obtained by building the mids and the HG in the same city. No way he can race to the Taj and I don't see any marble. Printing press might be the best play for about 100 commerce but will he actually do it? I will probably take the tech path straight to Nationalism but we will see. Will not be whipping World Congress in case I am beaten to the economics great merchant and need this city to generate 2 GMs.
Also had a big brain fart. With a forge, I need production of a 50h build be 12h or less since each whip now gives 37.5 hammers. Bleh. When you see some 1 whips next turn, you will know what happened.
