[SPOILERS] BaII's spoiler thread

After 5 turn grace period of not putting any production into a unit, hammers start decaying at a rate of 1/turn. The 5 grace turns do not necessarily have to be consecutive (e.g. if you pause for 3 turns before continuing the build you would have 2 more grace turns remaining if you paused the build again), and the timer does not reset until the unit is completed [separate timer for each unit type].

Same concept for building except that the grace period is 50 turns.

I'm guessing you completed the road after settling the city? In that case it takes a turn to update and you will have the route next turn. If you complete the road first and then settle the city you should get the route immediately.

On Normal speed, it's 10 turns for units (not just 5). I think Cornflakes is right that buildings are 50; it's a lot longer than units, in any case!

T33 - It looks like there is a bit more land than I expected in the southern tip of my continent but I don't think it will connect anywhere.

T36 - Things are developing quite nicely here.

Farm is set to finish the moment the city grows to size 2. I'll probably set up a cottage on the 1 grassland river tile afterwards. Once it's size 3 I will start a worker and 1 pop whip it, afterwards I might trade off the grassland tile back to the capital and just work the farm and riverside cottage.

Capital will finish the worker and then start another settler. The worker will chop the riverside grassland tile which should concide nicely with the 2 pop whip of the settler and send a lot of overflow into a granery next.

T37 - Contact!!!!..... somewhat.

I don't think I have a tile where I can see them but I think that's their capital so if I wait around till t50 I'll be able to see them but that's a long time to wait with the second. Although there isn't anything pressing I need to do with the scout so it could camp here until their borders expand. Only issue is if a barbarian warrior/archer traps my scout in this corridor but that's pretty minor all things considered.

T41 - New City is about to be founded.

A lot of overflow went into the granary in the capital. Worker was whipped in the second city and will start improving it's tiles. Will probably need another worker shortly. Currently debating on which crabs/silver/deer city to settle next. I could settle the one west of the 2nd city because it's a slightly stronger site with forested deer instead an unforested tile but it's a little bit farther away so more in maintenance costs.

Probably just settle on the stronger silver site because I farm the riverside plains tile to grow to size 4 and then cap it there and have it churn out settlers/workers.

T47 & T48 - Little overview shot of what's going on so far in my lands. Both Kageyama and Hinata will grow into unhappiness for 1 turn but that's not too big of an issue since the whip penalty will wear off.

Other big news is that I meat Pindicator!!!! I'm hoping he sees my scout on this island and will not come and try and siphon land off of me. Otherwise I'm going to force him off this island.
