It was our plan to rush the nearest neighbour, but it's Gavagai and there's no way we can take the Pyramids. Better to REX continuously with zero financial constraints, we can manage more than 10 cities without ICTRs.

The way the map looks, there should be someone south of us? Otherwise that's a lot of empty land.

All New Zealand facts come straight off the top of my dome. I cannot guarantee my accuracy but I’ve watched all LotR movies and the new Narnias, so I have seen a lot of South Island. I do know enough to know that platypuses are Australian. What even are monotremes, man.  

The south is unoccupied. The west is unoccupied. Wang Kon with stone and seven furs needs to REX, lads. Old Zealand is going to keep expanding, unless Mr. Bottled here flips his lid and tries to break out through us.

Okay, on the Big Subject (apparently) of Gavagai. We can see he’s not updating, so he’s not particularly pleased with his game. He ran The One True Pyramids Opening available here, going for a fast Oracle->forge->Great Engineer->rush. This expensive open has him at a mere seven cities; we have settlers out for ten and eleven for comparison. All that said, however, he is decently advanced and beardbeard only settled number six last turn if I’m tracking right. So…Gav is going to research the one tech needed, Machinery, and then be able to pump out Supercrossbows. We’re going to need to lurch to keshiks next to be able to counter them, I don’t think Beardbeard will be able to manage anything like that.
