So my girlfriend is a bit of a Francophile and I want to surprise her with a playlist of French music. A few songs to calibrate on her taste include “La vie en rose” and “Suis-moi” from the 2015 movie The Little Prince (obviously the French version of the song). I’m looking for recommendations from native French speakers on songs, singers, bands...pretty much anything to help me in my quest.

Zero percent French, but does classical music count?

Francophile as in French language or France the place? I ask because I enjoy Jacques Brel, who is Belgian. His stuff is also sadder than your examples, but since I don't understand French, that's not a problem for me.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

French the language AND France. But for music its the voice (which is why straight classical while nice won't scratch this itch). Thanks for the suggestion .

I was so close in recommending Daft Punk, but then you mentioned voice.

There is a chance the genre you are looking for is called "chanson". I just checked Spotify and there are several very long playlists, so maybe looking at these and compiling your favourite songs is a possible way to go.
Three rather famous songs I know even as a German:
Joe Dassin - Champs Elysées

Jane Birkin et Serge Gainsbourg - Je T'aime,...Moi Non Plus

Jacques Brel - Ne me quitte pas

(Bonus song, maybe strictly speaking not a chanson, but quite well-known, too)
Francoise Hardy - Comment te dire adieu

Obviously there are more recent songs as well, but I believe our French forum members are better suited to give recommendations there.

Too late or not, here's a quick list while remaining close-ish to your two examples :
Alain Souchon Foule sentimentale
Stromae Formidable (a lot of his work is amazing, but this one is particularly great)
Noir Desir Le vent nous portera
Renaud Mistral gagnant
Charles Aznavour La bohème (his other hits are also very good)
Barbara Nantes, L'aigle noir (her live performances in general are particularly impressive)
Jacques Brel is one of the best, but Gustaran already gave you a link
Nino Ferrer Le sud
Henri Salvador Jardin d'hiver
