I Recently read on an unreliable source that on forts in hostile land, you don't get the defense bonus but when attacked you do suffer city attack bonuses. Might want to test if it matters

No trade routes to Borsche, despite a route and seeing into his cities since last turn.  Maybe I'm not to +75% peace bonus yet for the 3rd coin?  We made peace in 650bc.  T78.
He does have OB with Krill and Super, maybe they are hogging them all.

Dear lurkers.  It is 3% per turn, right?

Super offered me a ceasefire.  I took that as a hint my WB is past his territory and can continue south.  Accepted and offered fish/fish.

Krill has a chariot and scout (with Leadership - event I don't know about?) on the two tiny islands to my south (between Borsche and I).  So he has to have a galley around I can't see, probably between them.

TBW has his barracks up in Mediolanum (probably with the chop he made 3?t ago), so I'll lose the incense tile (and visibility into Medio) in 10t or so.  3t after he pops borders anyway.

I whipped the Library in Footfall, bringing it to 4cpt.  It'll never take the iron tile, but it will speed up getting the hill above it, which lets me see 1s of Neapolis.  That's a turn of warning if the Praets come.
And if TBW doesn't have a full understanding of culture, maybe he'll build a Library in Neapolis instead of 2 more Praets - it's still his only Iron.

With a Chariot on Krill's boat, the settler bound for my south peninsula may need an archer.  Don't want him opportunistically sniping an empty city (it's on a hill, so he'll be able to see it from neutral waters).  I've got a few turns, and good visibility on the approaches from culture on the west, and a Galley+Tracker headed to scout Borsche to the east.  LH will delay the forge if necessary.  If his galley is perfectly positioned, I may need to start the archer as soon as next turn.  Plus an edge case where the galley is 1s of the chariot, abandons the scout in place, and guesses a direct route.

If the galley has 3 moves, then it's too fast.  My settler won't be in place yet.  It will hide until he goes by.  Not optimal, but losing a settler isn't either.

Building cash until T110, then I run poly and lit in 1+3 turns. Small chance I can squeeze Lit down to 2 - which also saves a turn of goldmaking, but the Forge in LH won't be finished then anyway, so wouldn't be able to start HE any sooner. Probably not worth it.
Wonder if TBW will trade his Marble for.. Silver? Doubt it.

Krill's galley went east not north - my WB sees it.
My workers did some worker things. A settler moved. A few slaves died of overwork.
Ivory and Gems (jungle fort) are hooked for two more happy faces.

Oath completes Maoi, starts a Forge. Hits happy cap at the flip, so changes to a 5t settler. Avoid growth throws away +13 food. Whipping the forge will do similar. Better to just build a settler with the food, sneaking in forge turns as angry faces wear off.
I've got 2 spots behind the mountains on my own land, the island to the NE, the 1t islands bordering Borsche, and the 2 spots I'd like on TBWs east coast that all feel like mine. Plus stuff further off.

Forges complete in Mote and Lucifer EoT.
Mote builds lighthouse/library/market next.
LH makes 24 shields at +3food once the forge is in, so its going to 1t a bunch of archers while growing. Then it builds HE and can 1t - well, anything. Max is 34+8+34=76 on units at sz14, stealing the rice, lake, and several hills from my capital. Needs a lighthouse for that. And 2 more happy faces. Temple and Colosseum. Or get gold from Krill. Something.

Cancelled silver for stone to pindi. All but my newest city have walls as well. 17 shields is a hell of a bargain. That's half a spear.

offered Ivory to super for his furs. I thought he had 2 earlier. Either he traded one to someone I haven't met, or he got one pillaged.
If he accepts, I'll cancel the same deal with OH.

If not, I'll try Ivory for Gold to Krill. (probably should have tried that first, but the offer was already out).

My scout skirting OHs territory took a shortcut through it back to my land a couple turns ago. OH saw it and just pushed a chariot into my border. Think I'll let him this time.
He may get war plans. Then again he may see that I have very few workable dirt tiles and target someone else. Pindi?

Got 2 religion spreads. Confusionism in Fallen, and Christian in Reflex. Neither has a shrine. But OH has confu as his state, so I probably want to avoid spreading that one. Well, unless he builds the AP.

With the poly bonus, I'm actually #2 in GNP. With only 1 library. OH is making +97gpt, double what I did on cash last turn.

Borsche continues to annoy me with EPs. Somewhere in the back of my mind I keep considering using the slider... Terrible idea. And if I was going to do it, I should put them on OH.
He doesn't have graphs on super or krill, and he put 4/t on super for 5t, so he changed them back to me deliberately.

Logged back in, super declined my ivory<>fur trade.
Rusten had a spare gold and apparently picked up alphabet.
So offered OB and ivory<>gold in a package deal.

Logged in again and rusten accepted. The turn hasn't even flipped and I've already picked up 2 trade routes. Hopefully at the flip it will be even better. And the forge multiplier on gold will be more useful than the market multiplier on furs.
Cancelled my ivory<>fur to OH as useless to me.

Trade routes with Rusten came in.  Overseas+foreign for every one, for 3gpt.
My WB sees Rusten's border, but can't get to it.  East of 2metra, W (and overseas) from Dark Savant.  It'll keep going south instead.
OH pushed a chariot into my land
I pushed a tracker into his land, headed north, need to remember to carefully move it 1 tile at a time and look around.  OH is in feudalism, so he's got LB.  No idea where he is on Machinery>Guilds.
Building another tracker to run west and pin down Pindicator, I've only seen one city so far.


Literature in 2t with plenty of slack, guess I forgot the prereq bonus.
I'll head for Feud next.  But it's something like 30t out, so I'll spend some time turning out 1t 6xp spears before that.
I'd love to go pick on someone with amphibious xbows, but I have to stay alive...

Took the time to page through the entire scoreboard and look at 490 score decreases vs who was logged in at the time.

Damn it's quiet out there.

I only see 5 cities captured, all razed.

Shaka (TBW) autorazes cities from 2metra and GKC both?  2metra is way east of him (S of Borsche, though I guess he could be SW and link to TBW).  No idea where GKC is.
He's the only person logged in at the time.



Borsche razed a GKC city?  GKC loses 5 points, but Borsche's score doesn't increase?  His score does decrease 20 seconds later like he burned it though.  Confusing again.
Technically it could be Pindi, with his score increase/decrease not showing at all, and the Borsche drop unrelated. GKC could be S of Pindi and W of TBW.

And once again I wish we'd play with the NoScore Mod. Scoreboard reading instead of using ingame information is like a lite version of looking at your opponents' threads.

No reason we should know about cities built/captured/lost, wonders, techs, bulbs, and whatever else from people we haven't met yet. (other than what you can scrape out of the demo screen and turn report).

Offered Wheat for Whales to Rusten. 2 health (w/granary) for 1 happy (2 w/market, but those are rarer)
No idea if he'll take it, he might be trying to shop his whales for a calendar or market resource.

Krill offered me OB. I declined, then thought about it and offered it back. If he takes it, I may cut off OH. After my Tracker looks around a bit more anyway.

Offered Crab for Pig to pindi. I don't need the health yet, but Lucifer will need it soon. I don't have source of pigs or deer, might as well claim a trade if I can. Also don't have any calendar health shy of Guilds, where I'll get one from spices with a Grocer, something Lucifer won't build unless necessary.

Last turn I made a stupid mistake with my new city. WB was in place, and I forgot what it was for and moved it away - thought it was for scouting Borsche's North. So Burning Tower has to work the Oasis for 2t, at a cost of 2f.

Moai-powered Oath is at sz8, grows to 9 EoT, then 4-turns a settler.

Pindi built Christian shrine. Eh, he's not a terrible choice to give coin to if I want to spread that, at least he's likely a mutual enemy of OH.

TBW is still my only potential source of Marble. Wonder if he'd consider something like sheep+wheat for it.
Borsche settled near a marble a while ago, but it's 3rd ring unless he puts another city in.
I see a third way off SW of pindi, nowhere in settling range for me.

I zeroed research on Lit a turn early. It'll finish on 3 scientists in 2t instead, letting Lucifer finish it's lighthouse and roll straight into HE. 7t build without a Marble deal, and it pays for itself in another 7t.

Galley picks up my archer MP from Mote (which gains 3 angry faces for it's trouble, but it has a Forge now, so it's OK. It will escort the settler out of Oath as they cross the lake. 2 barb warriors on the far side of the mountain I can see (and a couple non-busted tiles I can't).
The Mote settler goes south, further antagonizing TBW. He has a settler west of the superspot (Marked Destiny in T110 report - hilled, with fish/crab/horse/gems/banana/cow). Not sure if he'll settle in tight or go long and take the spot. If he takes it, he'll beat me. Which means I settle Inferno - incense S of Footfall - instead.

EP race with Borsche. Stopped and figured it out.
I let him get 48pts ahead through inattention. I'm currently at 80EP on him, he had 128 on me. In 7 turns (108 vs 156) he gets tech visibility no matter what I do (absent using the slider anyway).
If I stop now, he gets it in 2t.
If I was to use the slider, 30% for 1t gets me +46 (total +50), basically tying us up again, and we could run 4:4 all the way to 300:300 (42ish turns absent courthouses), where we get mutual visibility anyway.
40% for 1t would give me tech visibility on OH for 2t, which I value more, and I don't even want to pay for that. Dedicating my 4 points to OH after that would mean he couldn't stop it absent courthouses or slider for several turns, and I'd be a sniff of EPs from unlocking it at any given point if I keep my 4pts on him.

So I give up the game with Borsche as lost.
Giving him graphs 5t early lets him see me researching Monarchy early instead of just before it finishes. No giant loss.

If I built wealth everywhere (ouch) but LH (which will be building HE), I could run priest-monarchy-feud in <10t, and 1t longbows out of LH forever after that.
Monotheism is 150-17%=125, and gives 12% off 500ish beakers of Monarchy, so it's only 60 effective beakers if I pick it up first. KTB squeezes that down even more. Since I haven't been tracking techs, I have no idea who has it (obviously Pindi does, he has Theo).

16 turns to my next GP. GA, switching to Mon/Vas/Serf/none/(maybe OR?). Then I can turn 8xp Longbows out of everywhere I build a Barracks. If I live that long, I'm bulletproof for a long while.
