GROUND and GHOST are both types of Pokemon.
GAS is not a formal type, but I believe several are described as gas Pokemon (e.g. Koffin).
Well behind these three:
I don't remember its name, but there was one who looked like the MOON.
There was a digging Pokemon that was basically a MOLE. That dug HOLEs.
Some Pokemon have TRUNKs.
BeeDRILL is a Pokemon.
Ice is a type, so SNOW?

Oh. I know almost nothing about Pokemon.

Is the game made by SQUARE?
I think I heard of Pokemon Fire - is Pokemon SNOW a thing? What about Pokemon MOON?
Is there a GHOST, LEMON or ROSE Pokemon?
Did it come out on the Sega SATURN?

Reading Dave's spoiler I'm happy to go with your suggestions, although there's a risk that GAS is blue.

Ghost and Ground for sure, being Pokémon types.
Lots of options for a third word; perhaps Moon for the Moon Stone, plus one of the games is Pokémon Moon.

Most of what I know is from Gold/Silver/Crystal (my kids were too young for Red/Blue/Yellow, and didn't need my help on the later ones: Fire Red and Water something?). But

If there was a Pokemon Moon, that makes that a much better answer. I also take OH's point about Gas potentially being a blue word.

I know almost nothing about Pokemon but I think there are GROUND pokemons? I can't say I see other connections.

EDIT: after reading spoilers I think I also remember GHOST as well.
