Turn 40




First holy site is down. Of course Russia is first and pulling in 2 holy people great points per turn. 2 Lavras down already it appears. I am hoping for second place, which probably makes me decisions easier. But really, I'm not going to rush it. If I get leftovers then I'm fine with that too.

Suboptimal is Nubia and to my north. If he's got more unique units coming south then this could be a short game for me. I'll upgrade my slingers once Archery is in, but I'll try to get some units out too. I put a good amount of early hammers into that first district; hopefully that doesn't bite me.

Turn 41

Suboptimal attacked, but if it was a rush it's not a very dedicated one.  Unless there's a wave of units just out of the fog I should hold him off without too much trouble.




Had the money to buy a warrior outright so we did that.  The scout really should have stuck around, but I also really want to actually scout - doubly so now that I've lost one of the two I invested in.  Put everything on military.  We're hopefully going to get to archery in time to ugprade those slingers into archers and hold the line.  But it really depends on Suboptimal here:  if he wants to take me out, he's Nubian.  He'll be able to do it.  If this is just a half-dedicated push because he saw what looked like an opportunity then I should be able to hold him off.

Sorry if that came off as snippy varcharmander. What I meant by my first comment is that I'm a Johnny playing against a bunch of Spikes. (Though I guess Nubia UU could appeal to Timmy too...) It just doesn't work out often

Not a problem (as an ex-league player you need to step up your toxic game to do any real damage), I'm curious how you will try to play it out though?
