Rusten took the deal as offered. 300 gold for 35gpt.
Krill countered. 150 gold for 16gpt. less gold, but better rate. Accepted.

I can run Machinery in 3, which I'm doing.
Note to self, pre-build archers for the queue upgrade.

GKC hasn't played since I did, so that one is still up in the air. If it goes through, that's Construction or a couple upgrades.

OH didn't mess with my archer/axe/settler. I settled, and dumped a 2nd archer in the city. Turned the tracker into a totem. Maybe should have kept it another turn to finish healing the first archer.

OH treb spotted just to my west, and facing towards me.

5 LB completed, but 3 are several turns from the likely front.
3 more to move on 132 (plus one in Footfall facing TBW, which will remain in place)
5 more for 133
6 xbows on 134
By then he should have attacked either me or pindi, so I can determine if I can drop out of slavery or not.

Not sure where to position my Triremes.
OH has one galley coming back to my NE. Either to pick up his chariots or drop off Knights, who knows.

2t to Machinery.
GKC took the gold<>gpt deal as well.
I forgot to calculate the effects of my GA ending. I'll be in the hole (or need to build wealth) for the last few turns of the deal.

WHOA!

The GPT deals are all cancellable in 4t!
Not the expected 9.
Unexpected side effect of the 5-turn peace treaty change?

Obviously I'd piss off my new friends if I did so, so I'll honor them the full 10t if possible.

My earlier push to take the hill from TBW has additional benefits.
Old screenshot, but it illustrates the relevant point.
OH can't boat Lucifer's Hammer (or my capital) without warning, even with 4-move nav2 circumnav galleys.

I can see the yellow tiles.

Damn these rule changes.
I'm trying to figure out if I can squeeze another cheap tech out after Machinery and noticed xBows take Construction now.
Well there went about 100 shields into archers.  At least I didn't finish them.  And of course about 4t when I could have had Construction.

This whole mod package just moves further and further towards the

ONE TRUE TECH PATH!

all others shall fall

Follow this path and get Trebs and Knights.  Don't worry, everything that defends against them  (other than knights) has been nerfed, because you have Trebs!. Then double-bulb Astro - because hey, you avoided the top of the tree, so it's easy.

6 knights, 2 ha, 2 trebs that I can see right now.
Escape can't be held, it's too poorly positioned.  I'll leave a LB+Spear there to make it expensive.

I have 2LB in Heorot now, plus a spear, an archer next turn, and a 25%/turn medic.
133 +1
134 +3
Don't have figures after that, but Lucifer will chip in 1/turn until it builds something different.  While growing, working on a random GPP (eng+2sci, and a lot of wonder artist points), and still throwing in the occasional overflow coin.

When the GA wears off in 4t, if I keep paying my lienholders, I'll make 2gpt at 0% science.
Fuck it, I'm reneging on all the deals.
Matter of fact, I'm logging back in to declare on GKC and Rusten now, save 70gpt.
Krill I'll honor, it's 16gpt and he's kinda a neighbor.

WTB a game with no fucking horses on the map.  Or where Guilds takes Engineering.  Or both.

I second this, can't be a knight without a castle! (better yet, city requires a castle to build a knight.  grocer without engineering is fine isn't it? But of course that's pretty much FFH territory where I'm steeping there)

Raising the price of a knight to 300 and then putting "100% Knight Production" on castles maybe? I've slept, so I'm less angry.

Historically (in a game? insanity!) , they should be more than that. A knight represents something like a million modern dollars in gear and training. And has a massive supply train, (warhorse+palfrey eats as much as 20 men). 30 days of training and a $1000 worth of gear gets you any sort of gunpowder foot soldier (draftee level), from the revolutionary war to today.

The irony of keeping my deal with the guy who made most of this mod has escaped me until now...
Eh, in-game and out-of-game have always been separate entities for me.

The fact is, if I don't break the deals I'm dead. So I broke them. Not a diplomatic box I wanted to be in, but I'm in it.

Dear GKC and Rusten whenever you read this. Consider your gold an investment in me stopping OH from jumping to 50 cities in the next 15 turns.

Probably not how they will look at it, nor how they will remember it in future games.

Yup.
If I get out of this, maybe I can pay them back at some point.

Or I could always just sockpuppet.
