Catching up on the last few turns...

Two new cities planted.

No settlers currently in production, but that's because we're producing knights everywhere.

Banking comes in at end of the turn.  Next I'm debating between Engineering and upgrading a bunch of horse archers.  Leaning towards the horse archer upgrades.
So where would those horse archers go?  That's the million-dollar question.

OH is at war on 2 fronts.  I could potentially have 25-30 knights coming at him in a few turns.  The tough part would be disguising my approach as he has a sentry chariot roaming my lands.

Mouseferatu has no power.  Even as I continue to build up he still has not built new units.  His lands are guarded by archers.  I could gain a large amount of land far easier than what I would get - but then OH may succeed in his wars.

OH is still technologically ahead.  He has Paper, Engineering, and Optics.  How much would those many knights really accomplish against him when he could whip pikes?

I'm really leaning towards Mouseferatu, even if I know everyone will want me to hit OH.

Burning through population right now to get my next great people:

And lastly, GKC offered peace after I ran off his latest settler.  I have lots of spots to still get settlers for, especially since I'll be in Mercantilism in a few turns.  Maybe I'll even go into it next turn and swap to Slavery a turn earlier?  I'll have to weigh that against the need for specialists in the above cities.

The south:

You know, if i didn't have to neighbor the juggernaut of this game then I would actually be in a really good position here.

Instead it's OH FUCK MY NAVY IS HOPELESSLY OUTMATCHED!
So now I can't pick up Engineering; I have to get at least Optics so I can at least hope to stand a chance against Privateers. Also- I thought Caravels were supposed to get a bonus against Privateers? As it is, Privateers seem pretty busted since you can get them way ahead of Frigates. Yes, they'll nicely cause a rock/paper/scissors effect after everyone gets to Military Science, but in this stage of the game what counters the strength 6 privateer and keeps that from being the one best naval route? In any case, I'm going for Optics, and maybe all the way to Paper. It'll be nice to get some Caravels out and scout more anyway.

That also makes my decision swing more in the way of Mouseferatu. Btw- I was thinking about saving gold to upgrade those horse archers. Instead I'm going to have to just bring them along. Maybe if one gets a lot of XP I'll upgrade him.

With Banking in I revolted to Mercantilism. Decided to stay out of Slavery and in Serfdom. Too few workers, too few food and too many hills: serfdom just seems like the right choice. It was tempting to try to whip out more units to get after Mouse a little harder, but then I didn't want to be stuck in that civic late game and I know that if I whip too much now I'm just going to lose in the long run.

For Mercantilism, I basically did the following: added merchants everywhere I either had both a madrassa and a market, or a market; added scientists wherever I had a madrassa but no market; and added an artist on the new border city with OH.

No forges, no courthouses and I won't have any by t150. Maybe not even a grocer. I'm just making camel archers to try and get Mouseferatu before he gets some real defenders. Then we'll try to get some settlers to fill out the rest of the lands I've claimed.

Free hammers!

Added some galleys in. I think I can have 8 galleys and 16 units staged on 150 - most of those should be camel archers, but a few probably will be horse archers. Then we can follow up with a second wave. Possibly a second wave headed straight at the capital.

We're making Hitru and Old Harry a little nervous

And Commodore is being a bro because he sees I'm too lazy to hook up my own sheep

Notice the difference in income between 2nd and 5th place?  (Well, Rusten may be 1st for now but I dont' think that stays...)

More planning for the big dance coming up later this week:

We'll have lots of suitors lined up to take the ladies out

I think I'll send 12 camel archers along with 4 horse archers.  Maybe 10 and 6?  Or I send all camel archers and just plan on using the conquest gold to upgrade like mad and then send the horse archers along in the 2nd wave.

We got another event!

I didn't pay the gold for extra culture: besides, 100 culture was enough to pop 3rd ring borders here. Slightly better naval movement in the area- yay!

Power has topped Gavagai, good for 2nd overall. Behind you-know-who.

Speaking of you-know-who, he has moved another chariot into my lands. I don't think he trusts me.
I'm still tempted to send all those camel archers at him, you know. But you see how mouse is reacting - or rather, not reacting - to my power spiking.

I think I need to check my hosts file. I seem to be bouncing off of people now but I don't remember having that problem before. For instance, I was bouncing off Old Harry last night when I know I've been in the game with him just a few weeks ago. And Dark Savant said he was bouncing off of me.

OH sniffed out what I was really up to.

I wonder if this is why Krill rage quit? Thinking that I should have been piling on with him onto OH? Maybe he's right, but with a neighbor as juicy and weak as Mouseferatu next door I can't help but think I could gain a lot from going after the easy target.

And I also received a request from naufrager for my stone for 4gpt. Then I forget which one naufrager was now and it wasn't until after I accepted that I realized that he had switched to TBW and I might have ended up making OH and TBW both mad at me. I'll cancel it when I'm allowed, in 5 turns.

I probably should have thought about jumping in against naufrager. Now that OH has taken all those lands down to the south, there's an annoying tendril of land he controls that snakes into the south. I feel like I need to get a jump on those little islands down there now if I'm going to keep an opening for continuing my own expansion south - or just as important: limiting his. But TBW nee Krill is a good southern buffer to OH as well. And that's lower on my settling list than filling out Gemling Island. As for future OH targets, Elkad is probably next. Or myself.

Events:

Yes, that's another missionary failing. Ugh, that's like 4 now.

Pretty sure Rusten has taken over the top spot in GNP now that he's in a golden age. My GNP is sitting around middle of the pack, which isn't great. I'm going to try to swap in a few economy builds now that the main war effort is underway. We'll still be pumping out camel archers and caravels everywhere I can think to. But for instance, Beyond needs a grocer and bank for its shrine and so those are going to be that city's next two builds. Grocers and markets are cheap builds still, and really should go everywhere. I started on a pair of settlers on my Gemling Island cities because even though they are 10 turns builds, I dont' see any other way I'm getting settlers down there within 10 turns.

I spent some gold this turn on upgrading a pair of horse archers. My invasion fleet is going to have 12 camel archers and 4 horse archers; then there are 2 other galleys that will try to snipe outlying cities. I'll probably keep the boats with the first stack for an extra turn or 2 - or maybe we'll keep just a few boats with the stack to help with any tactics that may come up. Then the rest can pick up the 2nd wave of camel archers. I'll probably have another 12-16 by the time the galleys get back. Pretty confident I'll be able to conquer Mouse with that amount. He is starting to build some catapults: I see 4 of them massed near our border. But I don't see any hitters to go with them.

Here's the area I probably should have pounced on

And I double checked: I sold my stone to the wrong naufrager frown
