I think I need to check my hosts file. I seem to be bouncing off of people now but I don't remember having that problem before. For instance, I was bouncing off Old Harry last night when I know I've been in the game with him just a few weeks ago. And Dark Savant said he was bouncing off of me.
OH sniffed out what I was really up to.
I wonder if this is why Krill rage quit? Thinking that I should have been piling on with him onto OH? Maybe he's right, but with a neighbor as juicy and weak as Mouseferatu next door I can't help but think I could gain a lot from going after the easy target.
And I also received a request from naufrager for my stone for 4gpt. Then I forget which one naufrager was now and it wasn't until after I accepted that I realized that he had switched to TBW and I might have ended up making OH and TBW both mad at me. I'll cancel it when I'm allowed, in 5 turns.
I probably should have thought about jumping in against naufrager. Now that OH has taken all those lands down to the south, there's an annoying tendril of land he controls that snakes into the south. I feel like I need to get a jump on those little islands down there now if I'm going to keep an opening for continuing my own expansion south - or just as important: limiting his. But TBW nee Krill is a good southern buffer to OH as well. And that's lower on my settling list than filling out Gemling Island. As for future OH targets, Elkad is probably next. Or myself.
Events:
Yes, that's another missionary failing. Ugh, that's like 4 now.
Pretty sure Rusten has taken over the top spot in GNP now that he's in a golden age. My GNP is sitting around middle of the pack, which isn't great. I'm going to try to swap in a few economy builds now that the main war effort is underway. We'll still be pumping out camel archers and caravels everywhere I can think to. But for instance, Beyond needs a grocer and bank for its shrine and so those are going to be that city's next two builds. Grocers and markets are cheap builds still, and really should go everywhere. I started on a pair of settlers on my Gemling Island cities because even though they are 10 turns builds, I dont' see any other way I'm getting settlers down there within 10 turns.
I spent some gold this turn on upgrading a pair of horse archers. My invasion fleet is going to have 12 camel archers and 4 horse archers; then there are 2 other galleys that will try to snipe outlying cities. I'll probably keep the boats with the first stack for an extra turn or 2 - or maybe we'll keep just a few boats with the stack to help with any tactics that may come up. Then the rest can pick up the 2nd wave of camel archers. I'll probably have another 12-16 by the time the galleys get back. Pretty confident I'll be able to conquer Mouse with that amount. He is starting to build some catapults: I see 4 of them massed near our border. But I don't see any hitters to go with them.
