Fair enough.  I do think both words are quite plausible.

That said, I do want to propose that we only guess MINT next round if SOLDIER is right and we get a two-clue.  If SOLDIER is wrong I'd rather guess BUGLE as our +1 than MINT as the +1.

All right!

So does anyone feel strongly enough about MINT or BUGLE to want to point to them before we pass?  I guess this is essentially: were we lucky or good?

I agree with this, and I think BUGLE is now very unlikely since we were not given Footman 3. So I would definitely pass.

We`ve guessed 6 out of 6 words correctly so far. I don`t think there is any point in making a semi-random guess on BUGLE or MINT. We`ll get another chance to finish it off on our next clue if the reds can`t win next turn.

As does the conductor, after he walks onstage from the PIT
Are the CZECHs known for bows somehow?
I really don't see anything else; as of now my top two are TIE and STAR.

Apparently we can't win, but I favor PARK as our +1 if we get that far.

After reading Dave's: yeah, I like STAR as well now. I agree with those 2. Also PARK as +1 if we get there.

WIND & TIE with PARK as +1.

Post-spoiler: No-one else likes WIND huh? I was thinking of bow & arrow originally and WIND seems like the only possible word for that definition. Unless CZECH fits somehow.

Not a huge fan of STAR, wouldn't Tuxedo be better for that? Also if you are using that definition, one could argue that BUGLE (after an orchestra) or WHIP (force the bow) fit just as well.

I think we should go TIE then PARK, and then seriously discuss what our last word could be.
