[SPOILERS] BaII's spoiler thread

T156 - I baited Pindicator's only Carvel's to hit a gallery and so I managed to hit his gallery stack with 2 of my carvels which was nice. Unfortuantely I had expected them to be 1 more tile forward so I couldn't hit it with all of my carvel's. Fortunately this means no more threats on the sea and only have to focus the stack on land. Also really sad that the carvel ended up moving through the town because when I looked at the path indicator it would land with the rest of the carvel's.

Anyways yeah looks like another city is going to fall this turn. Maybe should I have given up on this city to pull back one more city. Really sucks to have lost all my cat's so early on without doing anything frown really sad about that. Things would have been looking a lot better otherwise. Also didn't realize you can't upgrade units after they used all their MP's whoops. That's why the warrior is in there and not a pikemen.

T160 - I got a nice little snipe on his gallery that was keeping watch with a newly built ship. Big thing right now is just waiting I think Pindicator is hesitant on attacking right now for whatever reason. It doesn't even look like he's adding units right now to his main stack camel archer stack. He is however adding more Privateers into the mix. I think it's time to start adding some cats back into my army as well. Only thing left to do is try and do some cheeky stuff to annoy Pindicator but can't really do much else.

T162 - Exciting turn today everyone since this is the turn that Pindicator decided to move in. Still before we take a look at the invading stack I had actually built into Macemen from an island city to recapture Miya Osamu. It costed me 2 macemen but I managed to break through 2 lb's with 3 macemen and a BE.

Next up that gave me a GG which is going to be insanely important here as it let me get 4 formation Balistaphants that can hit Pindicator's Camel Archers.

Attacking out of the city like this is particularly good for me since I can avoid a lot of collateral and figured he would have a few unpromoted units that I can hit for free. As you can see below.

I got a little lucky with some of these rolls since I ended up killing 13 camel archers and engaged in 15 combats with most of them being 70%. Which this I think the attack's going to get stalled and he should be pulling back after this. Also crossing my fingers and hoping someone is going to snipe some of Pindicator's cities after seeing his power drop after this.

T163 - Pindicator decided to ram people into me but it looks like I'm going to be fine. Didn't lose my Moai and it looks like Pindicator is going to be pulling back right now. With Guilds in 2t I'm setting up a lot of 1pop whips that should turn into hammers for knights.

I have a privateer on the wrong side of the island so I'm just going to raid some fishing nets and pull back afterwards. I might blockade since Pindicator is in a GA but I think overall the Privateer might be more useful though. Since I'm going to need it to defend my coastline later on.

Also interesting interaction I just noticed here. Normally I would all the culture buildings to be destroyed on capture so I would expect my Baray's to be destroyed when Pindicator captures my city. However after looking in his city I noticed he has an aqueduct and since he definitely didn't build one it looks like UB's get turned into the regular buildings first and then they check what buildings get destroyed.

T164 - Really now Gavagai? Really? I mean it makes perfect sense cause I'm probably preoccupied with Pindicator but fortunately because I pillaged some of Pindicator's WB's I end up with just enough money to upgrade both my axe and my archer in the city. Should be able to hold just fine but that's quite a bit of money I had to bleed right there.

T165 - Looks like Gavagai is shipping more troops on over. Probably going to be it for this city. Oh well hard to defend everywhere given the situation but still hurts to lose this city. I don't think Gavagai has paper yet but I don't think I'll be able to spare enough privateers to harass gavagai.

Got some good rolls too here. Expected to lose one more catapult or 1 more attacking unit but another city is back in my control. Problem is how to move forward from here. My stack's size is a lot smaller now and I won't have knights in a significant amount for a little while but time really isn't helping my case here since Pindicator is going towards gunpowder. Fortunately once this city goes out of revolt next turn it's going to be a lot safer.

Here I made a pretty big mistake if Pindicator makes a really aggressive move here. I initially moved these ships over to stop his gallery's from trying to  drop off his troops onto the main land to prevent them from trying to help out defending the area and forcing them to go the long way around. Problem here though is that he can move his ships aggressively up to try and drop his stuff aggressively in my backlines which will cause a lot of headaches if he does.

T166 - My city fell to Gavagai, hopefully he doesn't press forward because I really just want to focus on getting back my cities. Anyways back to the topic on hand the next city capture looks a little dangerous since he does have some crossbowmen and about 9 knights to hit the stack. I should have enough units though to absorb the collateral and survive if he does attack out of the city.

T168 - Gavagai asked for open borders probably so his tireme can pass through. But he's also the one who sniped a city off of me so I'm just going to return the offer asking for some gold. In other news on the Pindicator front he's retreated a lot of his crossbowmen so they are out of range to collateral me. Still taking it very slow on the city captures.

T170 - Time to start the attack. First thing I did was send in 2 suicide cats to soften up the defenders. First unit that goes in is a knight that dies to the pikemen but everyone gets to clean up. Overall trade was 2 cats + 1 knight for 3 LB, 1 mace, 1 pike.

The really obnoxious thing here though is that I'm not going to be able to hold the city. If I move my whole stack into the city it's just going to get wiped. There's nothing I can do about it. Pindicator can send in the crossbow's first for collateral and then ram the city with a lot of macemen who are going to get their +70% city attack. If this city didn't revolt for 1 turn I would have been able to hold it since he wouldn't have his 1 movers be able to hit it like this. The WE is good as dead because Pindicator probably will recapture and raze the city. Fortunately I can probably kill the offending unit. RIP Narita kept most of it's infrastructure.

T171 - Narita sure is being passed around like a hot potato. I think next turn I'll actually attempt to keep it if he retakes it because I'll be able to have have some lb and a macemen added to the stack. I'll need to reevaluate his stack vs my stack especially since he gets to collateral me first. I know there are several combat calculators because I've seem them mentioned on RB. If anyone knows where to go to access them I'd really appreciate it. Pindicator also burned another small city so not too much of a deal but still hurts as always.

A LB was queued here earlier in case I needed to whip so I decided to finish building it now to prevent hammer decay. Also a GA rn would be really useful to get these cities out of revolt and give me back my tiles. Still it will probably come out too late.
