This is presumably WAR plus one of VET, CHARGE, and RULER. I'm leaning toward RULER since WAR+VET could be something like Enlisted or Sergeant, and WAR+CHARGE could be Bayonet or Banzai if WK wanted to avoid mounted references to discourage UNICORN. There's the chance he meant to clue General as someone in CHARGE of a WAR, but in any case I'd feel good leading with WAR and trying RULER after.

I think War + Ruler for sure. T-Hawk rule - what word would one pick for those clues. War Field = Gettysburg or Agincourt or whatever. War Charge = Picket's or Bonsai.
