Vanrober and I are friends and we have played together sometimes against the IA. Now we want to experience a human MP of BTS. This is the first time we enter this forum and we want to enjoy the game and test how do we do.
For the game to be fair (and more interesting) WE ARE NOT GOING to have any comment between us about the game. We have been thinking about playing together, but we decided that it is better to play separatly. We beg you trust us.
May be, before starting, if someone is not comfortable about this we can play together.
No problem with this whatsoever, I hope both of you report in your threads and give lurkers something to read, and players something to read once the game is over!
Just to make sure this is at the front of the thread so that the next players can see:
Superdeath ???/Rome
GeneralKilCavalry ???/INDIA
Giraflorens Rameses II / ??? UP for Civ
Vanrober ???/Zulu ON DECK for leader
Lazteuq Pericles/France
Amicalola ???/Inca UP for leader
Mjmd Elizabeth/Korea
Ramkhamhaeng Wang Kon/Mali
El Grillo Hannibal/Egypt
Plemo Ragnar/Netherlands

I've played with and murdered the occasional real life friend. It's normal.

Corrected.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Based on the spreadsheet listing, I would have gone with Lazteuq since you said you would want a dedlurker only if an extra one were available - but a dedicated lurker isn't of much use without a thread in which to lurk! Much better to cast doubt on a thread title than to wait in vain for one to even appear! One caveat though:

I think this is largely a function of JR4 being such a great player to follow: Consistent reporting, including pictures, plans and thoughts on the state of the game; responsive to questions and comments; and never losing sight of the playfulness of the game, no matter how well or how poorly things are going for his civ. Also, even in JR4's thread, I haven't been nearly as active lately as I was near the beginning of the game (or in PB39 or especially PB37). I'll contribute what I can while I'm around, but I do sometimes disappear for a week or more at a time....

Lazteuq you better start a thread! @RefSteel that was before I realized I could have a shot at winning post count and views!
