I don't think its a spoiler that only you and OH have a chance to win, so if you are interested in conceding to end the time sink I can facilitate it by posting in other threads.

If the game was of a normal scale I'd want to play on and defend, but putting up an adequate defense in a game like this is a part-time job in itself. It's just way too big. And it does look futile long term.

The relevant bit was “until something changes.” OH declaring war probably constitutes a change in circumstances.

Yes, but he never even lifted a finger against Dark Savant in the spirit of the original deal, but OTOH immediately jumped on the opportunity to stab me. I consider that betrayal.

If you like. I’m just pointing out that most players do not consider resource deals to be sacred, so you should expect profit-motivated betrayals of this sort more often than not, from anyone. Commodore is not unique here.

I just got back from a run and as the mind wandered out there the thought of this game ending was such a relief. I am completely burnt out from managing that empire alone for so long. I never want to log in again.
