Ranged Attack changes

How Ranged attack change with this DLC/mod? Any changes in the damage? I looked in manual (http://seravy.x10.mx/CasterofMagic/CASTEROFMAGIC.HTML)  and it was not very enlightening.

The only change is what is listed in the manual : "-Ranged penalty is -1 to hit for each 4 tiles of distance, instead of 3. ", everything else works as usual.

Humm was the bow attack just once per turn? I thought it was 2 like on maggical ranged attacks...

It was 1, yes.
Unless you played versions of the original game below 1.2 (or 1.1, don't remember) which is extremely unlikely.

humm could be, i played alot the base version (1.1 i think it was) before playing 1.31, i played MoM on its release after all, when Phantom Warriors decimated entire neutral villages by themselves. With 1.31 they weren´t so strong (overpowered).

Now it´s been a long time without playing and my memory just remembered that, heh.

Still doing my first playthrough, i like the AI being a rival now and the faster pace. Looks like a bit harder than i remember it, which is good. Ranged attacks are way, way worse which makes me rethink strategies. Still not used to play this without heavy investment on heroes, i understand now magic is even more important than before, and lots to learn. It´s like playing a new kind of game and despite nostalgy, it´s a great new!

How does this work exactly? 0-3 tiles no penalty, 4-7 -1, 8-11 -2 and so on, or 0-4 -1, 5-8 -2, 9-12 -3, and so on. I feel like there is a penalty even when the enemy is next to you...

1-3 tiles no penalty, 4-6 -1, 7-9 -2 and so on
