Good job.
Did you consider bombarding down the city for a turn, perhaps given it was already size 1?

I set up the stacks in worldbuilder before the attack, and it looked like the 20% culture defence didn't make much difference, so the delay wasn't necessary. Now, attack outcomes in the test game were much better than in the real one, and I think I understand why - I don't think there's a way to add fortification bonus in wb. So I didn't quite model it accurately. Maybe I should've given it more thought, but I only realised it after playing the turn

I’m making no insinuation that one path was any better or worse even in my own opinion
What I do in WB to factor in fortification is surround the test enemy city with peaks/water, hit enter for the requisite number of turns to let the units fortify, then remove the terrain.

Scooter's trireme is moving toward the city I just captured. Guess it will be a good indication of his intentions. If he wants to work together, not pillaging the nets would be a good start
I don't have triremes myself yet, partly because I forgot Metal Casting is much cheaper in RTR. It's being researched now, eta in 5 turns
Superdeath does not have the 3rd city where I thought it had to be. Maybe he doesn't have one at all, but if so, I'm not sure where the extra defenders came from

And the trireme turned around. Guess Scooter just wanted to peek at what I had in the captured city
I'm going to treat him as a potential ally until I see evidence to the contrary. As I said before, I expect we will need a two-front attack vs Cornflakes. Just need to figure out how to organise one
Of course, first Scooter needs to take SD's capital

Cornflakes's power started to spike. I heard that Crossbows are super OP in recent versions of RTR, wouldn't be surprised if that's what he got. Nor do I have anything to stop a stack of crossbows if one arrives at my doorsteps. I hoped to take advantage of obelisks and do some bulbing with great prophets, but their bulb priorities mean I would have to get Theology before unlocking useful techs like CoL and Civil Service. So the plan has to be to get Longbows as fast as possible - and if Cornflakes is already building a stack, doubt I can get them fast enough
Meanwhile Superdeath is running around with an unprotected worker and generally seems unconcerned about Scooter attacking his capital. Maybe I'm misreading the situation and Scooter isn't planning to launch another attack on SD? Really need to find a way to get eyes on what's happening on Scooter's borders

So quick plan. I expect a successful attack on SD's capital will require at least half a dozen catapults. Only one survived the attack on the second city, so I need to build 5 more. If Scooter still hasn't taken it by the time they're ready, I will try to take it myself. If he attacks it, as I said before, I won't get in his way. Catapults are good defensively anyway in case Cornflakes's stack shows up, they won't go to waste whatever happens

Looks like Scooter is about to get the job done - SD's capital only has 1 archer on defence this turn

We knocked off half a dozen turns today. Cornflakes's power continues to spike
Previously I thought the way he loses the game is if Scooter and I manage to attack him together and make them defend two fronts. But given his build-up, I think a more likely scenario is that he attacks one of us, and the other strikes him while his attention is elsewhere
Over the last few turns, Scooter made a few moves which could be considered indications of peaceful intentions. After he took SD's capital, he moved his trireme inside the territory of SD's former second city, but did not pillage my nets. He also moved a scouting chariot into my borders, but kept it on a desert hill out of range of my cities, as if demonstrating that he's just observing
I'm taking a risk - I'm moving most of the units out of the city I took from SD, only leaving 2 axes on defence
This is an equivalent of putting my pistol on the floor in a face-to-face confrontation. I don't want Scooter to feel threatened by my military presence. And in case of Cornflakes's attack, I want my units in Memphis, the most central position I have, which is most likely to be in range wherever he strikes
I do believe he's more likely to attack me than Scooter, simply because I'm behind in tech. Scooter has Machinery - I saw a Crossbow in SD's former capital. I didn't even start working on Machinery yet, and it would take 14 turns at 100% research. That's why I'm working on HBR now - Horse Archers is the best non-melee unit I can research quickly which can be effective against crossbows

Well, looks like Scooter was the target after all (based on what I see in PBSpy)
This may be too soon for me to try to take advantage, but I think I have to try
