demos without turning on research, not terrible.

Thinking we should swap some of these to forges... hmm

I had another look in-game.

Macro stuff:

The trades for MC/Machinery/Monarchy/Feud look like they'll work out very nicely indeed!  jive

Is no-one interested in trading for happy resources? frown

Are you happy to use the Great Scientist (due in 7 turns) for a golden age? The golden age then helps us generate a scientist for a bureaucap (probably from F) and gets us started on a couple of other great people for the second GA. The downside is not having caste system to run lots of specialists, so it could make sense to wait a bit for CoL or Feud before launching the GA.

Micro stuff:

Silk isn't hooked until t108 (if you road to the clam city). That can be sped a turn or two by shipping the worker from Gumbys to build roads.

Chopping a jungle, then building a workshop/plantation is as quick as doing it all in one go (it's different on quick speed), and has the benefit of getting rid of the jungle quicker and letting other workers help out without wasting worker turns.

I'd say our commerce cities are A, D, E, G and R. Would you add any to that? For other cities I'd probably build workshops instead of cottages from here on and make sure they're equipped with barracks.

I set C to grow this turn. You can switch back to mines next turn.

D should be working those cottages for the cap whenever possible, even if there's a grass cottage it could work instead I think it works out better long-term to grow our capital commerce.

F can grow onto a scientist next turn - it feels like our best bet for an academy scientist during the GA.

I feel like I is best off as a unit pump - it can grow cottages for D and A, but I'd build workshops for itself and use the mines.

K to work the bare plains tile next turn to get the terrace whip sooner?

R could be a commerce or hammer city, but with slightly low food commerce is probably a better bet (it'll grow faster on cottages than workshops). You're going to need to use the avoid growth trick next turn to fill the granary properly - I've turned avoid growth on, you just need to turn it off t103 (there's a sign).

No one has extra happy resources atm. We have i think... Whales and Dyes that will be traded to Cairo/raskol for our extra sugar once they get their shit hooked up.

I like the Scientist for a GA. Would love to wait for Fued to come in, and use the GA to swap civics + tech to guilds? Thoughts?

The Aggressive bloc' of players did their trades, and are only up construction (TBW only ) and Monarchy ( Rome only ) so, not all that scared. Come on Raskol..... get those techs to us!!

Eliminated the signs where workers are there actively working. ( not an updated screenshot sadly... ) Also marked each city with their roles ... AKA Commerce/production. So that i can remind myself not to put say... a library in a production city. Or build barracks/stables in commerce cities... stuff like that. Simple stuff. shhh

Any questions? Im sure Cairo/Raskol have filled in most lurkers, but we have been talking about a possible Gavagai attack along with TBW on Raskol. Although its Far-fetched, it would be the only "feasible" way that Gavagai would request a NAP to t130... Cuz, well... im sure it would have been beneficial to their Bloc' if they had me paranoid and building units. Would give me less time to just tech.

Diplo situation is Cairo/Raskol/Myself rushing to knights at least 20t or so before the other side can get there. Gavagai Possibly breaking a NAP if he continues to build HA and sends them my way, with a .0005% chance of sending them at raskol. Raskol and TBW might be getting into a war soon. Which sucks, because both Cairo and myself are relying on Raskol to tech Monarchy so that cairo can use his gold reserves to get it quickly so that we can all have knights around t120-130.

Plans to improve our position are as follows:

Run over Gavagai or Rome with Knights. Likely Rome as both Cairo and myself can hit him from both sides.

Sorry i cant post more, it hurts to type for very long in this damn chair...

Oh btw, hurt my back so my lack of reporting yesterday/today ill blame on that. Laters!

We traded our extra sugar + gold to Cairo for Whales, so that Cairo could trade raskol his gold for something of Raskol's.. slightly complicated, but our happy cap is NICEEEE right now.

Turned on tech, 5t to Machinery which will be nicely timed with getting Monarchy from Raskol. The Great Wall will finish EOT which will at least help get us some GG's when Gavagai inevitably attacks.

Everything is going along great. Gavagai is planting far-reaching cities out by Raskol/TBW so im sure that will be easy pickings, im 2t from Machinery, and raskol should have Monarchy done relativly soon.

Got a couple plans ( forgot to put signs in-game ) to whip somethings at certain times, but for the most part its pretty easy right now. Move workers, get them to work, /smack them when they take lunch breaks, and hit end turn. Pretty peaceful. I really think TBW should have ran into Raskol in the early mid game, and Gavagai/Rome should have tag teamed me before i consolidated nicely. Cairo "COULD" help either side, but he would likely be better off at that point SPAMMING cities and consolidating while Raskol and myself take forever.. Right?

Any questions, concerns, memes?
