I was just replying to Charriu talking about the possible need to move starting locations and how that could impact the advanced start. I just don't think we need to have perfectly balanced BFCs with a plains hill start and equivalent food.

I can't remember talking about the starting locations here?

Oh, sorry, it was Cornflakes. I just remembered the C

popcorn Im working on it now that im off work... throw me to the wolves if you guys dont receive screenshots in thread by midnight.

Careful what you promise, it’s 25 minute to midnight in London dancing but seriously thanks for your efforts!

(Maybe I’ll change my mind when the barb tanks roll in) shhh

Central iowa has 5 more hours till midnight scared Anyway, ive posted most/all of the map and im waiting for further lurker feedback to make sure i havent monumentally screwed something up already. Providing feedback goes well, or no feedback at all... ill have them to you guys ( So long as EVERYONE has a thread!!!! ) by the end of the night.

TBS doesn't do threads.

Howland Island still has time.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

No rush. Unless of course I currently have triple corn triple gold at my start, in which case hurry up and ignore all lurker feedback.

I've created a new test game for the advanced start. Now, it is possible to leave the game (press ESC>Go to MainMenu) and join again. smile
If your done with your start you need to click twice on the button top left.
The annoying blinking 0:00 timer needs to be ignored(*).

It is not the final version, but if someone want

This looks like it's working great smile. I logged into the last two leaders - Gilgamesh and Shaka. Passwords are blank if you want to look in.

Things I tested:

1) Spent all 500 points for Gilgamesh (5 cities whooo), then logged out without completing the advanced start. Was still able to log back in and resume it.

2) Gilgamesh is Creative, and his cities started with borders popped as expected for Creative.

3) Spent a couple points for Shaka and his completely miserable starting location (what script is this??), logged out, and logged back in. Was able to pick it up right where I left off.

4) I noticed I'm getting the 10T universal peace message for both civs.

Note: Not that it matters, but upon starting their T0, I deleted the starting settler for both. I didn't notice any problems overall other than the previously mentioned blinking timer, and that really doesn't matter.

You do, but you have a barb modern armor blocking your way to the rest of the map. Good luck!

Finalizing the last few touches, awaiting a lurker or two's eyes.

To make it easier for me... i had made the map in the newest CTH mod, im curious how i can swap to the AI to easily take screenshots of your starting land without just recreating it elsewhere.... Thanks!

In Worldbuilder, make sure the revealed tiles are correct for each Civ and there aren’t extra revealed tiles (I always accidentally place a few lions which reveal extra tiles). Then save the Worldbuilder file in the Worldbuilder. Then exit to main menu > multiplayer > Hotseat > scenario > find the Worldbuilder save on the list > start game. Then in the Hotseat you can cycle through everyone’s turn and take the screenshots.
