Hopefully you didn't upgrade to Catalina...

There might be workarounds still, but the civfanatics mac forum has been dead for a few years, so there might not be a lot of resources around on how to get it running with bootcamp.

So what's the protocol for posting stuff about our game? I've been playing it a lot the last couple days. In fact, I didn't do much else yesterday, and while I don't have anything like a report (and I'm not close to finishing the game), I do want to post some thoughts...

Traditionally, for the BTS Adventures / Epics players didn't post reports until reporting day, but for the FFH games we've been willing to allow players to create spoiler threads in the Civ4 Event Reports subfoum and report at any time, provided such threads make extensive use of spoiler tags.  Though I'm wary of discouraging participation by potential players who decide to simply view other's reports instead, I think there's value as well in getting player's thoughts as they play through the scenario, rather than weeks afterwards.

Whoops, corrected post above; originally said reports go to the Succession Games subforum.

I'm unable to install EitB 12.1 from Bob's link. When I go to launch game (any 12.1 game, not just the adventure), I get xml errors. Is the problem on my end or have others encountered the same issue? (Btw, what's the difference between 12.1 and 12?)

Hmm. Make sure the mod folder is actually named EitB "Erebus in the Balance v12.1" ; in addition, I have a separate mod folder named just "Erebus in the Balance", which I believe is what v12 went by. I believe v12.1 only corrected some civilopedia entries, but for whatever reason it isn't compatible with regular v12.

I have a question for Bob about the rules that I'll put in spoilers because it could effect how one plays this adventure. So if you're going to play/are playing/have played this adventure, don't read.

The unique buildings that the Luchuirp have that give bonuses to Golems also apply to the Mud Golems. Which means we can build Mud Golems that can cast Fireball. It that within the scope of the rules? Or is it intended that no Golems be used for actual fighting?

It's allowed.

Thanks! The problem was on my end: I had somehow broken my original copy of EitB v12. Doing a fresh install of that fixed the problem.
