Good to know someone actually likes the chats though, I'm not sure we've actually gotten a compliment specifically for them...
I believe I did a terrible spoof of them once ages ago, so I've been a longtime fan. I think I retroactively appreciated them more after having my own experience being the Gaspar when you ded-lurked a few of my games.

I can't log in my old account but I assume some people nicht remember my name even with a number at the end I have not played in several years but would be down for trying and seeing if I remember anything.

Can an admin help Serdoa recover his account? I can assure you that this is the same person.

Serdoa would be the sixth if he is playing. pindicator doesn't really want to play and was just helping fill out the game.

Yeah, I would be a bit stretched thing to take on another game in earnest right now. Gladly will step back.

Okay, so about the game settings.
For the specifics of the map size, the map size I was talking about is a map where you can settle second ring cities from your capital without much issue, but third ring cities would be contested. Hope that's clear enough for everyone.
Other settings to discuss / vote on:
1) PBEM or Sequential Pitboss
a. PBEM
b. Sequential Pitboss
If PBEM wins then I will try my best to scrounge up a way to get a tracker page to show who is the current player to play. If I don't manage to do this then we'll probably just have to do the Pitboss instead. So a vote for PBEM is assuming that there will be a tracker page.
2) World Wrap
a. Toroidal
b. Cylindrical
c. Mapmaker's choice
Remember that Circumnavigation is no longer exclusive to the first player and provides +1 trade route in all cities instead of extra movement for ships. Also, Cylindrical and Toroidal have been changed to both use the Cylindrical maintenance calculation.
3) Game Speed
a. Quick
b. Normal
We seem to have a consensus for Normal already but I want to give an opportunity for everyone to express their opinion.
4) Map Difficulty
a. Prince
b. Monarch
c. Emperor
d. Mapmaker's choice
5) Map Size (this is just the in-game setting, not related to the actual size of the map which is described above)
a. Small
b. Standard
c. Mapmaker's choice
6) Barbarians
a. On
b. Off
7) City Trading
a. On
b. Off (Note this means that you cannot give cities away in peace deals)
8) Map Trading
a. On
b. Off
9) Pick Method
a. Snake
b. Something else you propose
10) See starting screenshots before picking?
a. Yes
b. No
Map settings that end up being mapmaker's choice will be known to us before picks are made.
Other settings that I assumed would be universally accepted: (or were mentioned in the first post)
1) Normal Ancient Start
2) True AI Diplomacy, no usage of the in-game text box or spelling out words with resources
3) No Tech Trading
4) No Huts
5) No Random Events
6) Normal Inflation
7) Normal War Weariness (as in not selecting the "No War Weariness" option)
8) No Vassal States
9) Spies allowed, missions are disabled by the mod
10) No kingmaking, such as voting for other players in Diplomatic Victory or gifting away a bunch of cities

Bolded my comments/votes.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
