Nah Myst is broken. Byzantium, Aztec, Spain, Korea, Celt, Maya all look like viable starters. Also go for religion first, particularly with Aztec and other civs that don't start with the wheel, is viable.
Byz with CHA could be very very good. cheap Hippodromes and high promoted phracts? Yes please. Also CHA Byz could mean no religion but could mean early stonehenge push no need to go for religion early.
Aztec with ORG could mean crazy sac altars. It also starts with Hunting meaning that we can go religion first, have the worker do the Deer, then tech the cheap agr no problem. Swords still suck I think but at least you don't need iron right away. A well timed rush with whipped jags could be passable?
Spain with FIN with this start could be super interesting. Get a religion and a workboat, size 2 do worker with that 3 commerce fish. And conquistadors could be good, good. Oh I like this. This feels like a power game.
Maya is pretty good with CHA Ball courts. Definitely viable, but not sold on the mining
Korea has Hwacha and Seowon, which ok. Its also a mining start which is weak. Could be interesting to actually try PHI with this.
India sucks, Inca nerfed, HRE pass.
Yeah man Give me Spain, Byz or Aztec.
Sorry Charriu you nerfed all the civs that don't start with Myst. America I would totally try if not for the Myst bonus commerce AND the fact that you upped the cost of it making it difficult to get to early and a huge cost opportunity. You basically have forced everyone to try and get Myst because otherwise every civ that doesn't gets -1 commerce. So just to break even with the other civs you have to tech Myst even if you don't want to go for a religion early. And by making it more expensive you made it harder to do that as well. Basically a waste of time and commerce. Anyone who doesn't pick a myst civ has to consume a neighbor in the early game to keep par I think. Cyrus of mongols might possibly be able to do it, but not much else.
