WW 46: Wolves Return to Realms Beyond

My reason for voting you is your fast defense of SD. A thing a WW loves to do. In case SD is town Once he is lynched you can point on your defense of a townie and second if this is standard SD-behavior he is a lynch waiting to happen and those are better left for later days for the easy win.

SD behavior is so far anti-town and if he is town I do hope he changes it during the ~20 hours left.

I don't see a good reason to jump on the SD waggon now and while I'm willing to give naufr,CMF (and in some small extent) charriu a pass for voting SD now I'm baffled that Lewwyn is still happy sitting on him.
The levels of WIFOM bafflegab here are smothering me, help. I'm your tunnel target because I "defended" SD...in the same post where you defend SD here at much more damning juncture?

How is Rowain defending SD here? Am I parsing something incorrectly?

Quote:Okay, I get it, I guess. SD's current play (or lack of play) is bad for us, absolutely. But in the jokey early phases, I just cheerfully pointed out his silly Serdoa vote was fairly par for the course. I'm not looking to score town points there, I'm looking to land a nice burn. He's educable, he's not doomed to be a millstone on the village's neck. I get the logic of "better to lynch an easy mislynch than another villager", but I'd rather lynch a wolf.

I don't trust the wording here. You guess that you get it? I think you are experienced enough to have absolutely understood much earlier already that SDs play is bad for us. But now you make it sound like you just now understand it. After you wrote just two lines above like you don't understand what Rowain goes on about. And then you just go back again to "not understanding" it by telling us that you'd rather lynch a wolf. No really?

And might I ask: Why so certain that lynching SD would not turn up a wolf?

It was not his silly Serdoa vote. It was his immediately jump on me when I asked his reason why Serdoa that prompted Lewwyn to post Ew and you to jump to his defense . His next post is jumping from me to GKC then 1 no-vote post and thats all of SD so far.

BTW I don't defend him I just see no point to sit on him now. But if he continues his course than he should get lynched.

I'm not certain at all. I agree he (or another useless lurker, hi Bob) should swing if the silence continues. I was (and am) baffled by Rowain's "I guess I can forgive X, Y, and Z for voting Superdeath" talk. I just have zero confidence that he'll be any more likely to turn up wolf than any other rando villager.

Awww see I was getting ready to vote for Rowain because he voted for me withoutt acknowledging Pindi, but then he smiled.

I have to give my first vote to my long lost Serdoa. No need to vote for Rowain he'll be dead by the end of night 1, unless he's a wolf.   shades

Weird that you voted Serdoa without mentioning his self-vote. wink

Let's look at this interaction again. So nauf makes a jokey vote on commodore, no different than i did. Then we have Lewwyn vote for Serdoa and clearly CITE A POST in which the self-referential vote is mentioned. And then nauf asks this question, in reply to a different post. To me this seems like an over-aggressive attempt to pose as a villager.

Also, naufragar, why the long anti-me tirade that results in you voting serdoa instead?

Sorry, just got off work.

Ill simply put that i didnt realize the game had gotten quite so serious when i flip flopped between so many votes. Was just trying to find the "spirit" of the game or something.

Never played this kinda style of game before, although being first on the gallows does not surprise me. I mean, who else would be a wolf other than someone named Superdeath?

Would like to continue living though. Is this enough information to live? What does it take to please my fellow townsfolk?!

Explain why you made the votes you made, even if what it takes is saying “post number ... was a joke”. And for the convenience of others, cite those posts.

Waiting for SD to expand on stuff. I don't really want to take the pressure off when he hasn't given me a reason to do that. I mean, literally the only suspicion that he expressed towards a player (in his last post) he didn't vote on.
I guess i didnt see whatever question i was originally suppose to answer? My first few votes were literally trying to get a feel for this game. smoke

So far nothing has changed that initial gut feeling. In case of naufragar, we have this:

Uh, so nothing you've said has really raised my hackles but this...this is bad. Please be willing to listen to other arguments; I'm certainly willing to listen to yours. There is a very high likelihood in a 17 player game that there are more than 1 wolf.

I agree with this. It all stood out to me.

Nauf, don't declare you are going park your vote for the day that's an easy wolf play to avoid being in on a mislynch and not having to be a part of discussions for the rest of the day. Very wolfy.

Which definitely tripped me off and brought naufragar back in the full untrustworthy zone for me for the exact things that Lewwyn said.

GKC on the other hand is the only player out of those three who managed to lower my suspicion towards him. He still has the newb bonus and I would say he's defending himself reasonable enough for a newb.

Then we have Superdeath. I still find all of his posts very dubious. The fact that he didn't really answer questions and all. I know he usually plays his PBs in a few hours, so I want to increase the pressure on him and see what he has to say. So Superdeath it is.

I also want to mention that Commodore is making my untrustworthy list, first with his initial short posts; defending Superdeath as well as the somewhat sudden tone change. In addition El Grillo summarized it a lot better then I can:

(September 2nd, 2020, 10:55)El Grillo Wrote: Commodore, your latest post comes across poorly for me. Long posts with mostly quotes and little new material aren't worth much unless the points being synthesized are conclusive.

Summarizing, you claim that:
1. Lewwyn and Gaspar's interactions are suspicious
2. superdeath isn't worth a lynch today
3. scooter's vote on you is weak

My responses to those points:
1. I can't speak to all the player-meta comments, but I also haven't been liking some of Gaspar's posts. Listing 7 players as scummy with reasoning for only a few of them is very unhelpful. I'd like for him to narrow that down substantially today. Half that would be more realistic for a 17-player game.
2. I disagree, if superdeath continues to try and hide behind his personal brand of style instead of posting more constructively, then everyone else can just throw up their hands and call him null, neither of which is helping town. Commodore, if you think that superdeath would be an easy mislynch at any time, isn't that the kind of player scum wants in endgame? As for waiting to see his play evolve, how about in the next 24 hours?
3. That's a pretty soft deflection considering at that point you hadn't contributed much, aside from the more blatant act that is ignoring my post and vote on you entirely. That level of deflection rises to scummy behavior in my perspective.

I'm keeping my vote on you.
Explained above.

Bad early reflexive votes then disappearing and low activity and low reasoning on vote.

Yeah, that was a weak attack for questionable reasons accomplishing nothing. Fortunately, as a regular, I can tell you that's the Superdeath signature.
