My condolences, superdeath. Take it easy and remember that you are convalescencing. Hope your yuth pulls you through.

Here is a Covid story that I hope gives you a laugh:

I thought I had Covid earlier in the pandemic. Like March 13th early. We had just finished a trip to San Francisco and I'd just been told to expect to work from home for the future.

So there I was, laboring away in my commandeered office space, "borrowed" from my loving wife (she's been WFH since our first daughter was born 5 years ago). Then my throat closed up.

Now, throat-closing-up was not yet known to NOT be a symptom of Covid. But, again, this was March 13th.

I stumbled downstairs to tell my wife, who waved it off. She was talking to her mother. But her eyes were watering.

So I stumbled back up stairs and called the local Nurses hotline for my healthcare system. They couldn't hear me. I was panicking.

My wife came upstairs and calmly asked me what my symptoms were. I told her. I told her with panic in my voice as the nurses hotline hung up on me.

She has always been the less emotional one in our relationship. This shone through here. I was DYING OF COVID. Why was she not more concerned?

"So you know," she says, sitting on the bed. "I just attempted to brine our pork chops for this evening's meat." (This is not how she talks but, I'm in the flow).

"What does that matter?" I gasped, taking my albuterol inhaler for the 422nd time in the last 2 minutes.

"Well, I used Martinelli's Sparkling Cider. When it boiled ..." Here she started laughing. "When it boiled, I think it aerosolized the red pepper flakes." (That is much more characteristic to how she speaks, by the by).

So that's the story about the first time I thought I had Covid in quarantine. When my wife pepper-sprayed the entire house with porkchop brine. She'd called her mom while making dinner and was laughing about pepper-spraying herself.

I don't think most of RB covers a particularly vast age range; the majority of members are probably in their 20s - early 40s, which essentially spans, what, Millennials and some younger Gen-Xers. I was in my early 20s when I made an account.

I always assumed we were a bunch of filthy millennials with a smattering of Gen X thrown in.
Past Games: PB51  -  PB55  -  PB56  -  PB58 (Tarkeel's game)  - PB59  -  PB60  -  PB64  -  PB66  -  PB68 (Miguelito's game)     Current Games: None (for now...)

Which is consistent with 27 being on the younger end (but likely nowhere near the youngest).

And feel better SD!
