Pitboss 53 Tech Thread

Had to go in to work early again. I'll try and get to the turn at lunch.

Someone mind adding time to the clock? This turn is not getting played tonight, and I know others are waiting on me. Sorry.

El Grillo found something interesting in the original code of Civ 4. Apparently the following is possible in Civ4:

(October 11th, 2020, 18:09)El Grillo Wrote: Alice is at war with Bob and has a stack in Bob's territory.
Charlie has open borders with Bob and a unit sharing the tile Alice's stack is on.
Charlie declares war on Alice, and Alice's units end up teleported out of Bob's territory.

I deem this a bug and I have a fix at hand that would guarantee the following:

1. If a player declares war, then their units are always first looked at and teleported.
2. Only after the player will all other units be looked at and verified/teleported.

The question for you guys to decide now is if you want this bugfix and therefore an update to the mod or not?

This will cause a delay my end as well. Giraflorens has agreed to sub for me while I am out it town for a week. But I am already traveling today and was unable to get my planned turn in yesterday with screenshots and instructions. Not sure at this point when I’ll be able to squeeze that turn and reporting in. Maybe 18 hours from now? 30 hours from now?

Of course, add as many hours as you need. Gira absolutely doesn't need to be saddled with this without details.  yikes
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

Misclicked into Commodore's thread. Saw nothing. Sorry about that. I am reading Corn's thread to know how the game is going, but I clicked into the wrong one.

Turn rolled. At this point it will take more time to explain than simply play the turns. Just pause for me and I’ll get to the turns when I can.

I’ll be home in about 36 hours. May or may not get another turn in before. Thanks for your patience.

CRAP, I didn't mean to click the AP victory resolution. I'm going to just assume that's going to remain banned.

Edit, no need to reload, I was able to vote "no" on my own Super-Popeship. No worries.

Pretty sure that it passing doesn’t actually do anything either.
