KANGAROO is an Animal; I consider this to be a lock.
HAM comes from an Animal
PIE can be made from Animals, and once you have HAM you've got to expect the team to think PIE?

I think that's the three.

I don't like these as much, but it's just possible
CENTAUR is a mythological part animal?
PHOENIX is a mythological bird so could be considered an Animal?

Other long shots:
You might use a NET to catch Animals, or a BOW to hunt them.

Kangaroo, Centaur, Phoenix seems obvious. If any of those fails then I guess Ham.

possibly PART for the expression "part animal"? Or he could be expressly pointing out PART + CENTAUR to go with KANGAROO since Phoenix is not a real animal?
Or perhaps the centaur being part man means that it really isn't an animal and needs to be left out?

The clue wasn’t Meat so I lean against Ham + Pie. It also want like Creature which I think is stronger for Phoenix + Centaur.

I lean Phoenix + Ham since a centaur is part human while a Phoenix isn’t. But happy to be overruled.

Centaur is questionable, but Phoenix is definitely an animal.

Point to Phoenix

If that hits, then I could be swayed to either Centaur or Ham next.  I see the logic that "Creature" would be a stronger clue to connect the other two to Centaur, and that "Animal" might be more strongly cluing Ham.  I'm OK either way.
