Are you saying there are 5 scum in total? How would you know that?

Though this is very helpful to know!

@Meiz - since I've apparently drawn GES translator duty, I'd read that as saying unless Weeb Fox is also scum, we need two more - implying that Weeb Fox is likely not scum, an interpretation I don't really agree with, but it is what is there.

Okay I get it. Still seems pretty sure read for the number of scum, I was just wrong on him suggesting 5.

Yeah, I don't disagree. But given the traitor, 4 does seem pretty likely. Its certainly the hypothesis I'm working off of.

In response to Meiz of course

For me WK is one of the stronger town leans, I don't feel like he has hold off for giving out reads due to RP, but instead have shared them very openly.

What's going on here?! You're questioning Lewwyn, but you're voting for WK because you want to see where the train goes, and also because you don't like his roleplay, and also some unspecified votes you didn't like for mystery reasons? I'm not onboard with this! Also, nobody else is voting for novice. Which is a SHAME Jerry, a shame! So, AdrienIer.

(October 5th, 2020, 00:38)sunrise089 Wrote: The other thing I wanted to bring up is the claims Commodore and Pindicator made about having trouble parsing Gold and Commodore's postings, respectively. In short, both of those claims seem barely credible at best. Gold uses some American slang, but Commodore of all people I'd expect to make short work of that. Gold also uses some clever nicknames which apparently were confusing, like "yellow dog" and "bee-boy." There is exactly one person playing as a dog in this game, and there's another player whos a male, with wings, with a yellow and black costume. Meanwhile Pindicator has trouble with the dolphin because of the various squeaks and squeals despite them being immediately followed by plain-text translations.  I don't really know what to say other than that just doesn't seem credible. Meiz said earlier than Pindicator's day one suspicion of me seemed fundamentally lazy, as if he only took the time to get a feel for my target (Gaspar) and didn't get a feel for me directly. This seems similar - like scum wanting to avoid having to read closely and so latching on to an obvious excuse...except because they were lazy they didn't bother looking to see if the language was ACTUALLY hard to parse. I can't read minds here but it's hard for me to believe that reading the dolphin is harder than some of my own bulleted lists, or big collections of block quotes, or big collections of block quotes with a broken quote tag where the quoted language and new language are intermixed. The only reason it seems like one would have a harder time with the flavor language would be if they weren't reading much of anything closely enough but didn't want to just come out and say that, and to me that suggests scum.

To be fair to Pin here, George is also finding it both obnoxious and burdensome to have to read posts in the language of dolphins. Also, the formatting isn't very good! Downright despicable, even! Italics and special characters, and not enough line breaks separating them! Who does that, Jerry?? Not going to vote to lynch of the basis of that, though! Won't do it! Even Kramer wouldn't be so squirrely!

Omar's writing is amazing however, and anyone who doesn't appreciate the style is a Philistine! And probably European!

@George - fair. But is obnoxious and burdensome enough to make you have trouble comprehending the text? My argument here is that any town player claiming they couldn’t understand the dolphin would have read it closely before complaining and that anyone who read the dolphin closely would realize the language, however annoying, isn’t actually tricky. Now admittedly Pindicator ends up there after his re-read, but I just don’t really buy that supposed sequence. Others can agree or disagree since of course I’m trying to be inside Pind’s head here and that’s by definition speculative.

Jabbz: If I can put aside my annoyance at his vote-due-to-mistake being what led the Day 1, he seems overwhelmed by volume of posting. He's independent-minded when it would be easy to land on me and hide for an easy mislynch, so that's good. Slight town lean.

Novice: Bog Standard Novice. Bob's barb about "floating by on his shark-scars" is well taken, and so it's a fairly null read. His lazy day spent poking at me while sitting on Kaiser without making a case seems unusually tunnely. Mild scum lean.

Cyneheard: Has been skating by completely after a decently active first 24 hours. Null read because he's been very quiet.

Commodore: Cheerful friend to all humanity unfairly targeted by numerous harpoons.

Bob: Skimming the thread, yelling in roleplay, snap off a vote, disappear. Has received The Pass from Novice, which apparently grants him immunity to all examination. Null read sans actual pressure. Has he been voted for at all?

Gaspar: While I still don't like his early Novice interaction, a scum would not be that determined to mislynch me as the primary driver. He has been sitting on me and ignoring all else for the bulk of this day, which sucks, but from 46 I had one day that was absolutely needed (Scooter) and one day that was eventually wrong (Rowain). At least he and Meiz get honesty points compared to Novice and Rowain. Town lean.

Pindicator: A laid-back Day 1 leading to him being on the chopping block has meant his Day 2 is very...focused. Despite that, his rereads sound like someone genuinely looking to hunt scum despite everyone in the game again telling him "we'll probably lynch you in the morning". Town lean.

Alhambram: Lurking scum or lurking town? I have no idea, and neither does he.

Kaiser: So I just dismissed the case against him as a placeholder while Rowain and Novice either fish for scum or scum for fish, but rereading his listicle I don't get a great feeling. He's also been posting light, but he promises to have more this afternoon, irrc. Slight scum lean pending more input.

Sunrise: Had a very active Day 1 and now very light Day 2. Day 1 was engaged and seemed to be looking for scum very sincerely though, so he gets a Novice Hall Pass(tm) from me today. Town lean.

Gold Ergo Sum: Well, he's not lazy. I've swum through enough thick clouds of squid ink to recognize the ping of one by this point, but barring Novice coming back and contradicting him, I'm willing to let him float for now. Still a scum lean.

Lewwyn: Boy I don't like his Day 1. Came awake very late in the day, and he's been cagey today, probably saving up for another flurry near deadline again. His strong "maybe the scum knew about thrawn" push right after thrawn got flipped was scummy as hell. On the plus side, he does seem to be rejecting Rowain, Meiz, and Novice's Grand Scheme to Lynch The Next Two Days, so if that's sincere, that's pro-town. Mixed, shading to scum.

AdrienInr: Not highly active, but neither was he in WW46. Honestly, to me he seems exactly the same as in 46, where he got mislynched for Scooter having more free time. Slight town lean.

Meiz: Does it echo down there in your tunnel, Meiz? Don't you see how slick it is with scum? Hammer right away, you have enough town with you to probably escape blame with your metacase. Great scum or town being used.

Warrior Knight: I have a problem with WK.
A problem?
Yeah, he's just making rare posts with fun roleplay and not much effort to hunt.
Why is that a problem?
I hate mirrors!
Null read, now. Hopefully he can clear himself by offering some broad takes when he wakes up here soon.

Rowain: Not only is he doing to same two-faced dance as Novice, he's going hyper-aggro on anyone who points it out. Rowain looks like scum who wants to push the mislynch of me and then Pindicator without leaving fingerprints if he can help it, making his metacase while sitting safely on a lurker. SCUM.>

lol That is your attack on me? I want to push the lynch Commodore-train lol Just look how much traction the lynch Kaiser has gotten. Or any of the lynches I tried in WW46 or even Day1. Cyneheard and myself were votingQ for hours o end and noting happened. It needed Lewwyn to kil Q. I don't push waggons. Hell more often than not I get the impression people don't even read what I write ( like in the exchange with Jabbz) I can't get people to follow my reads or my ideas  whom to lynch. I need people like Lewwyn,Meiz, Serdoa ,Gaspar to believe me and push those waggons to make anything happen.
I'm good for getting trains to speed once the started and for jumping on or off waggons close the deadline because I'm often online then and have agood knowledge how the vote stands.
And contrary to your lie above I'm never afraid to show my believes with my votes and make jumps what I feel right even if it get me lynched later on like WW46.

And while I'm now quite sure you rolled scum this time there is still enough time to find some more so me joining the AdrienIer train is the right course for now.

Pindicator - Sticking with Day 1 read. He is posting more today, but there is a lot which I don't find very productive and seems more like it's trying to distract us to get heat off of himself/commodore.

Commodore - For reasons I've mentioned previously.

I smell bullshit because:

(October 3rd, 2020, 18:21)WarriorKnight Wrote: 2 other people have me at least slightly suspicious:

GES: My initial suspicions of him in post 224 still hold true (minus the Lewwyn quote, that's a misunderstanding as Meiz later pointed out). Was one of 4 people who didn't place a vote on pindi/thrawn, not a tell by itself but not helpful to town. But I think Gazglum's death is the main reason I'm suspicious of him right now, it puts a lot of shade on GES as Gazglum's biggest read for me was trying to get something going on GES. I agree with post 496, which was Gazglum's last post raising several red flags on GES. All this doesn't necessarily mean GES is scum but does at least raise the possibility.

Commodore: I don't like how after he did a pindi vote claiming a reread, he didn't contribute any reads at all the rest of the day before moving to thrawn 10 min before deadline. I also don't like his lack of contributions to Day 1 despite having a high post count. As far as I can tell his only real contribution is post 542 - a minor summary near the end of night 1, basically saying he doesn't have much in the way of reads.

I've dropped my suspicion of Lewwyn, he seems to be back today asking questions as the town Lewwyn we all know and love. Pindi has started to contribute a bit more today and while death analysis on an unconfirmed alignment (although prob. Town) isn't the best use of time it is enough for now. I think I'll start with Commodore and see where things go from there.

You don't mention Pindi at all in your initial vote and statement of suspicions here. GES posts a pretty good defense and even claims tracker. You gotta drop him from the wolf lists. So Pindi makes a reappearance, but you say sticking with the day one read? and you brush off his posting today. Very lazy wolf. Today pindi has posted a lot and much of it HAS been productive, but you are disregarding that entirely. Why wouldn't pindi try to scum hunt today if he is actually a villager? Instead you characterize it as distracting and trying to get the heat off. How is posting more and discussing possibilities distracting? He's literally doing what we asked him. Scumhunt.

Warriorknight is scummy as hell.

There’s no good way of saying this without tilting Pindicator, but to be honest I agree with WK’s take on Pindicator’s day two.
I have to run.
