Could be getting jebaited here. I opened the turn to this peace offer from Cornflakes. I didn't want to accept without looking around first though. I figured the only way he'd give me something so good is if something had gone wrong. But he just bombarded my defenses last turn. I guess scooter has him really spooked.

Anyway, my current goals are pretty much anti-cornflakes. My defense earlier was obviously not enough to strong enough to repel a real attack but I hoped it was enough that any attack would be not worth it economically. So I had to try prove that true. Also, a bit of payback would be nice.

Still, the best way to hurt the Dutch is to take that peace deal, deny him those build queues and use them against him later. But, I really don't think I should be sitting still in Leptis this turn. All his cuirs will get odds easily. Attacking out is very dicey, knights get odds, WE's get 50/50s but I don't have quite enough hitters and it would doom any peace deal. So yeah, I may be getting jebaited.

I re-offered and let the timer run down, but he never logged in to accept. So I decided to trust him(how well has that gone this game? crazyeye  ) and sit. Worst case scenario I lose an already lost game I guess.

There's also a whole bunch of questions if he does accept. I had pretty much given up on any long term planning, stopping great people generation and not working commerce tiles. I didn't think I'd get to any more hugely relevant techs. I have a bunch of half built monk wonders in the queue. All Cairo's troops are understandably tied up with Commodore. Maybe I should try again?

If Cornflakes is turning his entire forces on scooter then Comm looks like the massive favourite though.

Peace ahoy.

One potential solution is to hit Comm while he's in the middle of Cairo land. I wasn't paying attention to this area before but it looks to me like Cairo came out the better in their engagement here.

I decided against restarting the monk plan for the moment. Seems like we'll probably be doing some fighting in the near future, so I'll get out at least a few more units first.

Cornflakes peaced out with scooter, which I was surprised by. Was scooter really holding out for me to get peace before taking it himself? Surely after burning those wonders he wouldn't see Cornflakes as a threat to win the game. And freeing me up to help Comm vs Cairo doesn't seem good for him either. Maybe Cornflakes has just decided to check out.

Anyway, I certainly don't need to be a counterweight to Comm anymore, so I'll see what we can do vs Cairo.

Maybe Cornflakes comes back again in 10t, in which case I'll go back to doom and gloom, but we might as well at least try something in the meantime.

There was 1 LB in Dirty work, and I had 4 knights lined up, so I went in and took it. Won the 10% on the first knight attack.  hammer No buildings survived though. frown

Commodore's timetable was to start attacking next turn IIRC, but I imagine scooter has thrown a wrench in the plans. I'll probably have to peace out if Comm does.

I gave Cairo his city back.

Comm built the AP too. I doubt trying to snatch Sankore is a feasible play for me.

I'll go back to twiddling my thumbs.

In case it comes up, I'll concede to either Comm or scooter.

Would you play on a future superdeath made map, Yes or No?

For sure. There were a couple of map issues that didn't fall my way I think, but with the whole combination of map and neighbour combos I definitely had chances to win this game IMO, so that's good enough for me.

Scooter is clearly leading even Commodore in all economic indicators, but:

We clearly lose if everybody checks out from here, might as well try to make the game more complicated.

By the way. You can turn off the grey grid lines with the'Score' and 'Turns' text buttons on the left.

You can also turn them off by default in the BUG menu under advisor
