Lined up so that we could guarantee religion in Pledge of Hands (2nd city). 3rd city has nothing useful in 2nd ring short term.
The only thing guaranteed, when founding a religion, is that it doesn't get founded in your capitol.

It's guaranteed not to found in a city that hasn't been planted yet.

Yes, nothing of what I said contradicts your claim, Charriu.
It's PBEM so the religion was founded as I ended turn 33 and we settled the 3rd city, Corrupted Soul, now on T34.
In other news Bob settled his city on the sheep.
It means that we can probably keep a peaceful border for the early game and settle our pig+gold as planned, but it also put him very high up on the food list. He's already playing a very slow leader, and now he's also settled an extremely slow second city. Sure, it will look good on size 8 working a bunch of FP cottages and the gold, but how is he getting there?

How did you come by 2 settlers, 2 workers and 2(?) warriors by turn 31?

Some sweet satisfying micro. If you're asking in the literal sense and want the instructions I don't have an easily accessible spread sheet, I just used a sandbox.
The short version is grow to 4 on warriors and whip settler (2) -> worker (1 chop and a whip for 1 just before completion) -> settler (1 chop). If you want something more detailed I can provide it later, but you should be able to reproduce it.

So you completed the second settler when you were already at 1 pop with chop + overflow?

Correct. The corn was already claimed by the 2nd city (ever since the turn it was settled), so going down to size 1 was a reasonable price for the faster copper settler.
