WW48: Melllvar's Grand Competition!

I do think it might be time for Gaspar to tell us about his role and what he did with it.

I was a very close candidate and Pind would not have been expected to switch his vote away from me. If you think I am town like you've stated, you'd have the option to guarantee Bob lynch and my survival, but for some reason you never went for that.

To add while pushing Gaspar every now and then he preferred to sit on pindi on day 3. Yes he explained no time but still for someone who cries Gaspar is a wolf every now and then this seems strange.

Given the choice between a Bob-lynch and a Meiz-lynch he preferred to stay out of it. Willingly taking the chance that Meiz get lynched but without committing to it.

@Rowain - why was it a choice between Meiz and Bob? Was every other player immune from lynch?! Why wasn’t it “a choice between Kaiser and Meiz” when Meiz switched over to Bob, for instance? I’ll write about this more expansively but it’s wild to me that I’m being blasted for not protecting Meiz from one narrow tie-break scenario as if he was my Mason partner. I didn’t like the case/train on Bob, I liked Gaspar as a lynch more. All credit to Meiz for being right on Bob (Gaspar obv is still an unknown). I’m not sure why I need to give up my own attempt to find scum in order to protect Meiz from a threat I saw and still see as having been unlikely.

Day 3 I don’t know what to tell you - again there was only a tiny window where there was a real push on Gaspar. I didn’t like Gaspar or pindicator and so I stayed where I was.

@Meiz - I know you said you were worried about me not joining on Bob. Why didn’t you just ask me more directly to move to show townyness to you?

I guess I have a problem with “Willingly taking the chance that Meiz get lynched” Rowain. That just sounds so weasely. Aside from an active Day power isn’t anyone ‘taking a chance’ anyone will be lynched? What would be an UNwilling chance to lynch someone?

If you want to say the dynamics here were different because of the smaller number of players and narrower focus, fine. But I don’t like categorical language that voting that has been normal every other day is somehow categorically different now.

@Meiz
If you reread day2 you find interesting play that IMO suggests that sunrise is town.

Yes but at the time you voted Gaspar there was very little chance that Gaspar would get any traction. So you were sitting on the sidelines letting the Bob/Meiz situation run its course.

While 20 min before DL can get a train running with Meiz and myself both stating no to a Gaspar lynch (and GES announcing that he will vote for my target) whom did you expect to jump?

Honestly I do think your d2 does make you look townish but your action yesterday was scummy.

As a town seeing either Meiz or Bob get lynched- sitting on the sideline like you did is a clear "I don't want to be responsible for a townlynch" thing.
It shows what a great guy pindicator is that despite all the anger and frustration he suffered from Meiz he still switched his vote, saved Meiz and lynched a villain.
