im liking the land so far.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

C2 (marble) looks like it will be an incredible production hub in the short-medium term. Possibly save some forests for lumber mills?
C3 (cattle) might be better off 1W, depending on what's in the fog.
C4 (gems) might be better 2W, but that depends on the fog and where the other cities around it will go. Might even want to plop it on the stone hill to fit a city between this and marble.

Southeastern city would be a formidable moai, but then you wouldn't want to work floodplain cottages, so maybe move the northeastern city one south?

It's a very roomy dotmap, so you might even consider moving the marble 1W to fit a city between pigs and crabs.

Oh, and you capital should be Hugh!

I think you should aim for more tightly packed cities as you have a per city bonus with PRO/carthage and the land has more than enough food to support it. Before monarchy it looks like happy cap will be limiting the use of the great food start you have.

All of the eastern cites looks like great long-term cities but none of them look like second city material. With three food resources, ideally you want to give 1 to the new city to get it rolling asap. The only candidate for that is c3 but it does not bring in any particularly strong tiles.

If you are planning on animal husbandry soon then a city 1 SW of city 4 has pigs and grass gems in first ring for a fast start. It could share a cottage on the sugar with the capitol.

City 2 can be decent fast if you build the work boat in time for the settler, maybe with a chop?

Maybe settling on banana and sharing ivory could also be decent if there is food north but I do not like the jungle around.

Would suggest scouting west sooner rather than later so that you can plan for a second city.

I really hope there is copper in the fog to the west. Otherwise that copper location is complete ass and is going to force me to chariot rush Lewwyn.
