I think spot you have picked is probably the right balance

We finally obsolete our MYC good bye cheap upkeep nearly Crossbows A debt repaid, Woden has been mass upgrading and burned through 1000 , I hope this will help him keeping Ichabod in check. I doubt he can roflstomp him but I intend to send the next (well the one after, as Cassius needs the domestic trade route) to him to speed Alliance level 2 up Funny calculations here: Income 65 Unit expenses -32 District expenses -8 total expenses -47 What? Here is the save for you, I will be out on the weekend, but I want to do a state of the empire next week to see how we can navigate the game with our piggy in the middle position. Keep firing the saves and i will have a look.
Think we need a defensive border with Elanor then it's a double team on Brazil.

Bruins and Kings would be nicely defensible, but are difficult to get. We need to ramp up on military
I think you look to take out CMF then set defensive line up and free up troops to support attacking Brazil.
Maybe even a dof with Elanor if available. going to need to start watching for troops coming in by sea behind your lines at some point. did you manage to kill any of ichabods troops when clearing out your new city?

I killed a Crossbow and a Horse, down here, so we nearly egalized our Horse and Courser investment for the scientific CS raze earlier. I will be back home late tonight and will upload the save of today's turn then.
great mate.
that's good trading with him so far.

I am back, Ichabod looks disheartened and takes long to play his turns, but he is under attack of Wodens Armada including a Frigate fleet (I believe he got it from a GA).
He already lost one city and will loose another next turn, however I am not sure Woden will be able to breach him on land. I wisely decided against settling on the sea with the exception of Alara Kitan for the Eureka and some era score for two early galleys. I will continue to focus purely on my Army and will neglect my Navy. I probably need to get 2 Bombards to Alara Kitan and Ed Mercer though to defend my two Campi (with reef adjacency) and AK itself. Here is the save, I hopefully will be able to make a bigger post on Thursday on the state of the empire CLEOPATRA 121 125 AD.Civ6Save (Size: 1.27 MB / Downloads: 2)
Yeah he got an early GA that gave him a fleet.
I will have a good look today and see how things look. Perhaps we can pick up some land from a weakened Ichabod.

we just need a clear way forwards.
do we want to take out venice? then are we still going after CMF next. we can make a plan from there. Ichabod has been playing a pure farming game he could have won this but has screwed up. But he has taken the heat off you. Probaly best to let him and dido have at it and see if we can be oportunistic. Sao luis is never getting taken from land. You can usee that scientist to scout right? He will just port back to nearest city? We could take venice then Blackhawks with bombards. Blackhawks the blues and kings all far more open to attack with siege equipment. then cores are coming up but not sure we can wait that long.
