This is an overview of Roman Empire in Turn 56.
I marked ( and deleted after ) planned major improvements/districts - hope that this is informative enough.
Now my main focus is to repeal the barbarian invasion and, if possible or better said, as soon as possible, to clear their outpost located somewhere South East from my capital.
In few turns I'll have probably another dilemma: which bonus to choose for my Golden Age?
In single player game I'd choose almost for sure the ability to purchase Settlers and Builders with Faith but I'm wondering if there are any "Known issues" regarding this in Multiplayer games. Non-pilageable trade routes also sounds good...
There are two more things on which I'd like to hear the opinion of much experienced players:
1. Wonders. In all my Civ-games ( starting from last century with Civ 1 until Civ 4 ) I'm a Wonder-addict. But this approach doesn't work well usually on multiplayer and also I noticed that Wonders in Civ 6 tend to be less powerfull than in previous editions.
Are there any "recommended World Wonders"? Personally I'd give a try to Pyramids ( damn, this Wonder always was good in Civ-universe! ) but probably is a too much investment... isn't it?
2. City-States. In my few single-player games I used to keep city-states alive as much as possible - conquering one only if another civilization vassalizes it before but, from what I see in PBEM 18, it seems to be the standard/recommended approach to annex them ASAP.
I'm currently sending a Trader to Rapa-Nui - the only City-State somehow in "my range" - in order to build a road for a possible further invasion there ( ETA ~ 11 turns from now ).
Any idea/suggestion/advice?
I'd really appreciate some mentorship/guidance on these issues!
Wonders are always going to be situational in MP - why are you building it, what do you get from it, how does it help your game and is the better spent elsewhere? As for which specific wonders it's almost always situational.
Regarding city-states the meta here has usually been to conquer city-states. That isn't just a PBEM 18 thing, that's been a general thing.
One note to be aware of when commenting about other current games - if you go into specific details about another game that only some players there might be aware of please use spoiler tags. Your comment about city states in PBEM 18 is generally known by all the players at this point, but, for instance, some players in that game may not know what specific city-states have been conquered or where on the map they are/were. That type of info would need to be spoilered.
Well, kind of bad news: Ljubljana/Peter of Russia just settled around my planned 5th spot.
I need to carefully balance the options but more and more it seems that I'll fortify the border with Archiduke/Persia and I'll try a major push on South against damn Russians.
How I should proceed to deny our friendship? Should I denounce him with 5 or 10 turns before?
Friends can not denounce each other, though friendships do expire.
As long as you are friends it does feel like a good time to propose open borders with them. If they refuse, recruit your legions. If they accept, recruit your legions, and send a scout to map out their cities.
Cossacks are a big risk down the road, if you do not go to war, but the terrain between you is defensive. You might wish to renew the friendships when it expires if both of you are militarily strong. There is a lot of land to settle.
PBEM 18
Maybe even allies one day.
Canada was behind in technology, but a military alliance made all of its units stronger, forcing Egypt to withdraw from a costly city attack.
I am still wondering about your religion choices and if you intend to spread it.
I'll post some new screenshots when the turn will be back to me.
But, as a preliminary information:
- I choose for my Golden Age the Missionary option because I'd like to pick Crusader for my Religion and for this to be effective I need a major push towards spreading my religion. Also +4 Great Prophets points per turn will really help getting a religion ( Holy Site is still 8 turns until completion );
- Repealed Barbarian mini-invasion near my core cities and went to clear their camp;
- Despite all advices I vassalized Rapa Nui instead of planning to conquer it - I felt that I reaaly need the culture on capital bonus provided by it: my science is OK but I suck at culture.
- My friendship with Archduke expired - not sure if I wat to renew it or not... I'll evaluate this when receiving the turn.

( BTW - is totally demoralizing to not be able to put a link which to be properly displayed )
I looked at this link and it appears you posted the pictures as a "post" rather than an "image". Two things you could do here...change your upload method or change your links....
Upload Method
1) After logging in to imgur, click on your username and select "Images" from the drop down menu. That will take you to a different screen.
2) Drag and drop your screenshots from your local folder to the web browser. They should all upload.
3) Click on the image thumbnail and copy the link in the "Direct Link" box that shows up.
4) Paste that link into an img or screenshot tag in your post.
Roundabout Method
I went to your link, right-clicked the image and selected "Save Image As" in my browser (I use Firefox). The filename that appeared was TMK7PbX, which can be used to figure out the direct link. You take that name and put it into https://i.imgur.com/[name].jpg with the appropriate tags. For instance, using screenshot tags and the link https://i.imgur.com/TMK7PbX.jpg you get:
