I didn't intend this level of pressure, however.

Why so soon before the pressure's due?
There's a whole day yet left to rue!
Do you truly think the barbarian might
would wilt so quickly before this swiftly ended fight?

Yeah I didn't point it out about Dark Savant because I don't know how much WW he's played or how rusty he might be, but it's probably best to hear from most people before starting to jump around with our votes.

I won't be playing anything selfishly. And we'll see about items of great power when we get to them.
Actually it's kind of amazing, there's something to discuss D1 besides roleplay, ridiculous tone stuff, lurker lynching and obvious beginner misplays : what the hell is that grognard role in the setup ? It's got the colour of a third party, but if the name has the same implicits linked to it in english as it does in french, it could be something that's not a SK.
(I've refrained from googling it or going on various mafia sites so as not to spoil myself on what that role may be)
In gaming terms, a Grognad is a hardcore wargamer, so it could very well be a serial killer.

I’m a powergamer, but no stinking munchkin.

Why? Don’t you want to win?
I’m going to google it right now.
I have to run.

My friend, be you!
You needed another's skin!
Roleplay your own mystic self
Bards and Sorcerers are akin.

Really ? The implicits in my mind are more of a seasoned warrior that's a bit tired of everything, but you're right that it means a warrior too.

Are you sorcerer or not? and if not then you munchkin or worse.
My friend Cohen told me about Rincewind He is a wizzard. And there once was a sourcerer for a time the most dangerous person but then he vanished in his own universe. His daughter helped save the world. Cohen always tells the best stories

While that sounds like an upstanding person, my magic goggles tell me you’re mistaken. A grognard is a grouch who complains that everything was better before, and / or in the original edition. For example, a grognard could insist on playing the fourth edition of a game even though newer and shinier versions exist. I know many players here who fit the bill.
I have to run.

A curious exchange!
A player wants to play, a healthy goal but strange.
To win or lose is where we all end up.
But the victory seems sweeter within my cup!
