Some musings on that Scroll of Speak With Dead.

It seems like it might be most useful to use after the spirit in question has had a chance to converse with others in the spirit realm, and as such is best saved for later use. The risk then becomes that the munchkins will kill the holder of the spell. I was afraid that the ability would turn the user into some sort of medium, able to talk to the dead directly and convey and misconstrue what they said. It's not obvious to me it can be mis-used, other than using it prematurely and without consulting the players.

Strange that the rogue is so eager for the item...

Lewwyn if you want to use your power, just go with whoever is the towniest in your opinion.
Whoever ends up getting the scroll better not use it on one of the people who didn't participate. They didn't want to participate when they were alive, they sure as hell won't be useful once they're dead.

Sorry for kind of disappearing toward the end of D1. I was doing other stuff, and I think I was too frustrated with how D1 went to be engaged enough. I'll make sure to be more active during D2.

Strange that the rogue is so eager for the item...

1) I've played a rogue in WoW for several years (second char to help the 2nd group out) - if I don't call dibs on everything, somethings wrong with me
2) Besides the slight reason that I find it amusing from a RP-point, another reason is that I know I am town, so why vote anyone else? And yes, if everyone does that, it is a toss-up, but that's not how it works out. Others don't even want it, of fear to misuse it or because they think they could die early or they simply don't want the responsibility. Or they believe someone else is better suited for the task.

Anyhow, what do you find strange about me voting me?
